The BeaverCraft Wood Spoon/Bowl Carving Tools are made from High Carbon Steel and feature beautiful walnut handles. They are very sharp, so be careful, and they are ready to carve right out of the box. I have tried the knives on birch, pine, and oak wood projects, and they did an excellent job. I maintain my carving tools to ensure they stay sharp by honing or stropping them after about 30 minutes of wood carving. I really like this set from Beaver Craft and look forward to making more wooden spoons, kuksas, and similar items. I prefer Beaver Craft carving tools over Morakniv for two reasons: first, the products come directly from Beaver Craft, not from third-party resellers. Second, these resellers often do not check the authenticity of their products, leading to a significant number of counterfeit items. Morakniv products are notorious for counterfeiting; you can verify this through your own research. I speak from personal experience, as I have encountered this issue myself.

This is now my go to hobby when I go to the cabin. Knives were very sharp which does make it very easy to use. Great value for the price and is pretty durable to harder woods. (Hah wood) they look great and are very nice to use.

Product just as expected. Easy to use. Good quality and worth the cost. It's a good beginners set. Good handles easy to grip with comfort and cuts great.

I'm glad I purchased this set. Seem to work well out of the packaging but I can see the need to sharpen in the near future. This is a good starter set and allows you to become familiar with the process before investing too much.

Set seems to be a good, complete setup. The handles were a little rough, but 90 seconds with some 320 grit and some linseed oil and they look great! Size is good for my hands, although my hands are on the larger size. The contrasting wood in the handle is a nice touch too. Overall, I am pleased with them, and would recommend them for a beginner wanting to get into carving without spending a fortune. Great value!

A simple carving kit that let you carve out spoons or small bowls. The tools are a decent quality for the price. The tools came fairly sharp. I had to touch them up and they are fine, but will need to be kept sharp. The leather cover is nice, but is bonded leather, not real. The strop is real leather. They included 1 bandaid, which I found funny. Overall it's a nice simple beginners carving kit.

Not ready to use out of package. Tools were dull. I’m going to have to go out of my way and sharpen them before I can use them.

Beautiful tools and package. The leader is not that good because its not leader and it leave traces. Overall quality is really nice and the instructions videos are really helpful.

Très bon rapport qualité prix pour ces couteaux. J'ai apprécié le QR code à scanner sur la boîte et qui donne accès à des tutos et modèles sympas (aussi disponibles sans le QR code sur le site de Beavercraft) pour commencer. Après quelques mois d'utilisation (et un peu d'affûtage) ils sont toujours aussi efficaces.
