The pliars are very good quality and I use them more than I realized I would. I'm a Channelloc guy and wanted to try these to see what all the hype was about. The advantage of KNIPEX is the fine adjustment and they grip a little better than my Channellocs. All of those little adjustment teeth give you more grip options and the jaw teeth are a little tougher. The only advantage of Channellocs I noticed at first is the speed of their jaw adjustment but I've noticed that the more I use the KNIPEX I keep getting faster and faster with them and now my Channellocs stay in my toolbox because I'm always grabbing for the KNIPEX pliars. In the end I like the KNIPEX for more adjustment options, better jaw teeth, the ability of them to grab and hold on tightly even out on the ends of the teeth. This is a very good product.

The adjustment alone is worth it. No slipping the joint apart and hunting for the next slot like channel-locks. You push the spring-loaded button, slide the jaw exactly where you want, and it locks in solid, with a fine 25-position adjustment on the 10 inch so you get the perfect bite every time. The three-zone jaw grabs small parts up front, big stuff in the coarse center, and round items without chewing them up. The steel is hard and the teeth are sharp, so they leave a mark, but they do not slip. Fit and finish is excellent, including the handle dip, which is the first thing to fall off cheap pliers and has never let go on any Knipex I own. Mine have six to eight years of heavy use and look almost new.

The best of the best, you won’t regret it

I see why these are so expensive. Unlike normal channel lock pliers, these grip and hold onto bolts and fittings. They are thin and will fit between plumbing fittings where my regular channel locks are a bit too wide. If these are in your budget, they are worth the investment.

This would be my second set (THIEVES!) of these. Can't beat em, don't try. Buy them before the price goes up more. Its german tooling man, that IS the bar. There is no need for reviews, like the 4.9? Yeah those arn't fake, and if they are, they are right. This is your standard small "do-all" set. They DO a lot.

These are excellent, can easily take the place of a pipe wrench and vice grips for most jobs. Safety feature where the handles cant come together and crush your fingers. Don't need to squeeze the handles once the jaws bite, they lock on like a pipe wrench. Worth every penny.
