I like the way the cotton opens in the tulip shape (it's just two flat rectangles at right angles pleated together, but it's good for catching everything). So these are way better than the ones that are single rectangle that just gets longer as it absorbs liquid.I also like the sport applicators and am glad that's the way everyone is moving these days. They are so much easier to use and get fully seated every time.What I do NOT like is the thread. I think they haven't changed it because it lets them say the materials are all natural? But the thread can wick urine into the absorbent cotton. I have never gotten a UTI from it (in 20 years of periods), but it's a little gross to think about - and I want all the the absorbent potential for my tampon going towards blood.
