I have loved my FEEMSTER for decades. I first bought it when I started Marin the original version of French Onion Soup. It was super sharp and made the process of slicing so many onions less tearful than by slicing them using a knife. Of course over the years it has been a fantastic kitchen staple for slicing everything. The graduated levels were incredible to use. Keeping it sharp meant occasionally using a knife sharpener occasionally. It somehow never made it to my new apartment during my last move. ( I think my daughter may have intentionally tossed it fearing my arthritic hands would no longer be safe using it.) Just be sure you handle it with extreme caution due to the sharpness and use the holder to protect yourself. My new one came with this addition. I did have difficulty getting the unit to slide trying to move the mechanism that adjust the thickness tray. I was finally able to get it working by prying the grips apart a bit from the rails. I should have sent it back and requested a replacement.

Cuts everything very well. Blade is very sharp! This is the third one like this that I have owned and continue to be pleased with the slicer.

I grew up with a slicer exactly like this.. My Mom and my Nana both had one.. My Nana gave me hers before she died.. I have many memories of helping slice cucumbers and tomatoes and onions and carrots and whatever!!! Well, my Nana's old slicer blade got a bit rusty, so I ordered a brand new slicer since it was the 'original' brand.. And I was very disappointed by what I got.. It looks the same, but trying to adjust the blade was almost impossible!!! Even though I even tried 'banging on the blade' to open it up a bit.. Look, I am 58 years old, and I am not going to 'bang on anything' to slice a cucumber!!! LOL.. And, though Lehman's have a customer service hotline if one has issues or needs help, I am not going to sit on a phone and be on hold forever after I just spent almost 30 bucks for a simpe tool to slice vegetables.. So, I returned it.. I REALLY wish I could give this slicer 5 stars and tell everyone that is is just as good as the old days, but my experience left me sad and disappointed.. I cannot recommend this product..

It is an excellent tool, my first one was 36 years ago and still using,at that time they cost 4.19. This one is for just in case. There the best that I have ever found.
