Milwaukee 0880-20 18-Volt Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum, Red

To be a 5-star item it takes a combination of great execution and/or being a really useful unique product. When I first received this item I almost questioned the first. First, this is surprisingly large. To give you a clue it comes with a warning not to sit on it which exists for a reason - you might be tempted (and probably could). The design is good but it's simply not as tight as it could have been - it's great that there's room to stow two included nozzles but unfortunately they didn't include one or two more or provide a more protected spot for the hose - I think with a bit of extra design time they could have worked it out. Otherwise the design is simple and solid. Large plastic clips lock the top hatch down and hold the top half (the motor) to the bottom half (tank). Note that you can actually reverse their orientation so the hose holder is on the outlet side. This might cause confusion if you reverse it accidentally like I did. Where this thing shines is in it's utility and that's where it continually surprised. I just don't know of any other products this useful and powerful that are portable. In the two weeks I've had it it's followed me into the car, around the house as I've been doing electrical work, onto my roof to clean up after some chimney work and of course up and down the stairs. I've sucked up tons of dirt, gravel and rocks, a broken glass on the deck and simply find myself reaching for it constantly. It's not quite as powerful as the miele, but it's close enough most of the time. As others have said, this thing sucks up the batteries. 10 minutes is just about right for the smaller battery so prepare to ration it's use and/or charge a lot. That's about one or two car vacuuming depending on how often you shut it down. The larger battery is obviously better and with that I don't find myself worrying about rationing. The bottom line is that this is a 5-star item. Few things quite like it exist and there is little doubt that if you own it you'll be happy with it. 1 Year Later: So I came back to say that this is honestly one of my most used tools. Think about it this way - every job uses a different set of tools but almost every job makes a mess, So this is needed all the time. Combine that with general use around the house/car/boat and it's great. Battery life in practice hasn't been a problem at all although I've pretty much dedicated the high capacity 18V to this tool and this tool alone.

Great vacuum for car! I have an SUV (3rd row seating) and haul kids around constantly so I was tired of putting quarters in at the car wash. This vacuum has excellent suction power for wet or dry stuff. The battery holds a charge for a while. Ive already used it 4 times on one charge. It is a slight bit heavy and a plan to order a longer extension to help reach in the very back easier. But overall works great!

Awesome little vacuum, great design and everything tucks away nicely. Is definitely portable and was actually a little smaller/compact than I was expecting. Cleaned my dirty crewcab truck using a 5ah battery and it did it with no problem, still had some battery left. If I had to find a reason to complain I would say the hose could be a little longer. I would definitely buy again.

Very good vacuum. This vacuum has powerful suction and a large canister. I work on boats and need a cordless vacuum to clean up fiberglass dust. The large filter does not clog up and the suction is strong enough to pull fiberglass and strands of wire out of boat carpet. The battery lasts about 18 minutes and does not slowly lose power. When it runs out, it does it quickly. This run time is fine in my application, which is quick spot clean ups. It could use a diffuser for the exhaust. The exhaust is quite powerful and if you start the vacuum with the exhaust pointing toward your mess, it may blow it all over the place. Overall much better than either the small or large DeWalt cordless vacuums (I have used both). It is pretty large but not heavy. Easy to empty and clean. Excellent onboard storage of supplied accessories. The hose is of sufficient length and diameter. Cannot speak to durability as I have only used it for 1 month. I have been using it daily and love it. If you are already invested in Milwaukee 18V Li-ion batteries, you cannot go wrong with this vacuum.

I bought this item to clear my condensation line from my HVAC system. It works perfectly and my HvAC system’s condensation line was easily cleared. The only issue I had was when ordering. I wish that it would have come with the batteries and charger with the price added already. I had to wait longer because I didn’t know that the batteries and charger didn’t come with it.

I got to say I'm impressed. I used this for everything from my shop sawdust, to spilled milk and glass. I use it for liquid a lot and it does a really great job. Obviously a little pricey, but if you're wanting something that's very portable and powerful at the same time, this is the vacuum you want to choose. However I would not go with any knock-off cheap Chinese off-brand M18 fuel batteries. I bought two Milwaukee M18 fuel batteries with charger and to knock off Chinese M18 fuel batteries, there is a noticeable difference in the power output and link the battery lasts. I can usually get about 30 minutes to 45 minutes on one Milwaukee battery. On a Chinese off brand I get about 10 and it's only about 75% suction. So obviously it has nothing to do with the vacuum, but since it's battery powered you definitely want to consider investing in the Milwaukee batteries. I also love how the hose and to attachments conceal inside the lid. I love how easy it is to pop the bottom off to dump out the contents you sucked up. I love how it has a blower feature I've used that a few times. Solid build, well done Milwaukee

If you live on the road, space and efficiency are everything. I use this Milwaukee M18 2-gallon vacuum daily in my semi-truck, my RV at home, and my personal car, and it is hands-down the best utility tool I own. The flat-top, toolbox style is a game-changer. It stores beautifully in tight sleeper berths, RV compartments, or the trunk of a car without rolling around or wasting space. Because the hose and attachments store completely inside the casing, they never snag or clutter my cab. The suction power easily pulls ground-in dirt, gravel, and food crumbs out of heavy-duty truck mats and car carpets. Switching between dry cleanup and wet spills without messing with the filter is incredibly convenient when you are away from a traditional trash hookup. If you spend time in cabs, trailers, or recreation vehicles, stop buying weak car vacuums and just get this. It pays for itself in convenience.
