Durham 006-95 Gray Cold Rolled Steel Vertical Storage Cabinet, 17-1/4" Width x 21-1/4" Height x 11-5/8" Depth, 18 Drawer

I bought this cabinet to organize a bunch of nuts and bolts that I inherited from my dad. These drawers worked out great and they can handle quite a bit of weight. I will now be able to find what I need much more quickly. This will be a great addition to my shop.

The photo supplied is of the upper-right, back corner of the drawers. The shipping box did not have any noticeable damage that would explain the dent, so I have to conclude the damage occurred in the factory. Also, I took the drawers out to paint the unit a different color. When I put the drawers back randomly, they didn't all fit correctly (slight mis-alignments). That suggests to me that the drawers had to be custom fit for each slot. It could also have been caused by a tweaking that occurred when the corner was damaged. These drawers will certainly last a lifetime, but for $200 I would have appreciated a little more refinement.

Durham steel parts bins are outstanding. None better for quality and economy. My one star is due solely to the company failing to box the bins with sufficient foam to prevent dings and dents. So far I have opened up two of the four parts-drawer bins I bought and both are annoyingly dented from shipping. They still work fine. In my opinion the company knows that most guys, like me, are not going to bother to return such a heavy item because of a dent that doesn't effect functionality. That said, I wish that mine arrived with no dents. I hope my review, added to the others, may inspire Durham to add additional foam to their product boxes.

This is my third purchase of this item. I use them to store my small eBay items awaiting sale. The adjustable sections are perfect for storing jewelry, etc. The amount of storage is great for the small footprint! The quality is very nice; these will last me for many, many years. :-)

The storage cabinet is well built although it would be nice if the face of the drawers had a place holder for a cart describing the contents. Overall, the product would earn 4 stars. However, what I received confirmed the many comments about this product. While the manufacturing might be good, the company has not learned in its 100 years of existence how to handle the finished product. Two of the three units received had a big ding on the side or the bottom. Those were obviously forklift damage and it was difficult to bend the metal to the point where all the drawers would open. The boxes in which the units arrived were not damaged so I am irate that the company would ship defective units as new. The problem has been mentioned numerous times and years later the problem persists. My new units now look used from day one! Fortunately, not much else can go wrong so I will not have to face a customer service of similar quality!

Does its job ok. The divider often slip out when dividing headier pieces may need to make divider stiffer and 1/8 wider. Also if mounting in vehicle the drawer will slide in and out during traffic may need to redesign the draw with a lift and pull out design so drawer stays lock in place during transport.

Looks good, I needed it to hold parts, it does that well. Drawers do not have their own spot. They have a shelf for the three drawers. It works fine. Yes thy rub each other, but if you pull one drawer, you only get one drawer. Opening a drawer does not open the drawer next to it. I loaded some drawers with 15-20 pounds of stuff and that is fine. The drawers have a small lip on the very back so they don't pull out every time you open them. You can't leave a heavy drawer open more than half way without holding it. The drawers are very easy to take out.

Quality made.all steel and heavy it has plastic drawer dividers but seem to be quality. it arrived with some minor damage to both rear lower corners. I was able to straighten them out some. Don't affect the drawers any. Probably need to improve shipping box liner.
