Wonderful strings!
This was my first set of Dominant Pros ever and I really love them so far. The playability is excellent: super responsive and with great dynamic range. On my violin they sound clear and bell-like but still have pleasing overtones and a good warmth on the G and D strings (especially if you get the set that has a silver-wound D). With many good string sets that were $75 a set a decade ago well over $120 per set nowadays, I think these represent a great compromise and I will definitely purchase these again.

Warm, resonant, clear, BEAUTIFUL sound. Upgrade from original Dominant strings.
I LOVE these strings!!!! They only took a couple hours to break in and stay in tune! They sound absoutely beautiful and warm, just like I needed them to sound.I usually get the standard Thomastik-Infeld Dominant strings (steel e), but decided to try these based on reviews and the need for them to break in quickly for an event. The length was perfect for a 4/4 size.I will now be using these strings until further notice. Absolutely beautiful sound both acoustically and when amplified. No preamp needed on my gigs so far! I usually have issues on PA systems with shrieky highs and nonexistent lows, but these strings enabled me to bypass the need for a preamp and they are super balanced. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Highly recommend.

Great strings znd they last.
These are great quality, but a bit pricey. I wanted a focused, direct sound for playing in church and these are perfect. I play at least an hour a day and these will last me abt 6 months.

Exceptional Sound Quality, Near Perfection
The Thomastik-Infeld Dominant Pro Violin Strings DP100 have truly enhanced my playing experience. The tin-plated E, aluminum A, and silver D&G strings deliver a powerful and balanced sound with broad color variations. The craftsmanship from Vienna is evident, providing a professional touch. The only reason I didn’t give it a perfect score is the slightly higher price point. Overall, an outstanding set for advanced violinists seeking exceptional sound quality.

Old strings or badly stored strings
I bought a set of these dominant pros on January 9 and within one month, the A and the E string sounded so bad it was impossible to tune. Out of desperation, I ordered another set and changed them last week and the A and E string are already going bad after playing one week. These are utter junk and I will complain to Thomastik directly about these sellers because I know that these are good strings. I’ve bought them from other sellers and they lasted the normal amount of time before needing to be changed.

New strings on new instrument
I am on the fence right now. Cons: somewhat metallic resonance. They appear to go slightly flat after playing a cord. This was on initial placement (i put them all on at once). I'm hoping this will change after a few weeks of playing. I had Pirastro gold's on before which were great, but really didn't last long: about 2.5 months. I will try to update later.Pros: very quick response which improves intonation adjustment with quick passages. No "mushiness" to the sound. Wide range of color. Powerful sound with much less effort in the higher positions. Violin definitely sounds different, but I'm not sure I like it yet. Hard to tell what warm is under the ear so need someone to listen from across the room. OH! They did not take very long to hold their intonation once put on. I did not put on the e-string.
