Weight lands on firearm, not wrist!
Great to take weight off wrist, and is strong. Attractive purple cane—classy looking. If you are not yet in some way already strong in two feet, possibly wait till you are as this is not as seriously sturdy as would be the old fashioned silver Quad cane that the PT has at therapy—that is very safe. This little 6-point rubber bottom is very nice to have cane stand up by itself without having to hang into it while maybe at the post office checkout line when you are signing the purchase. However, do not think it is the same as a super solid metal 4-point quad cane. I say this is like a step beyond the quad cane ( as in your ought to be a little advanced and be more in between needing a quad cane and but yet ready for a one pointed cane tip). This is very handy as it is, as long as you are beyond the absolute need for a quad cane. The bottom only takes up a few inches if surface area whereas the traditional quad cane has a huge rectangular surface it covers (of many inches). Meaning, you have to be reasonably sure your two feet can bear enough weight that they will hold you up if you cannot find the best ground space for the cane. I hope I am making it clear this is an excellent cane for someone who can bear weight enough on both legs to stand without the cane, and just need it for movement stabilizing. If not yet ready for this, stay longer in the walker or quad cane si you can appreciate this intermediate option between quad cane and one pointed cane. I bought the one pointed tip fir when I improve my stability. Meanwhile I love this unusual shaped tip as it gives me a lot of options. In fact, I might keep using this when I am ready for one posted tip BECAUSE it literally stands upright all by itself! It has a curve to hook On the arm or lean In something else, but 9x out of 10, I just set it beside me as it stands by itself! Very convenient. AND IS LIGHT WEIGHT but strong enough to feel it’s sturdy support. One must use it in proper position And you will train yourself quickly. MIT is adjustable and instructions say if you need higher support the setting can me a little taller for bearing more weight in arm. I am of good size and it holds me we up! It also can be used to stand up with something to hang into if there are no good armchair arms around. Like getting up in a waiting room when a Nursing Asst calls you. FYI: the cane Arrives in very gigantic box within a box and I had delivery person help me remove item from bix and take boxes away as there is 19x more package than product which apparently is to keep the cane perfect with zero risk of dents)!

Sturdy and Stable, light weight cane
This is an amazing cane; my dad has Parkinson's and is very unstable. This cane gave him so much more support using his forearm versus just the wrist. He walks more upright now. It is lightweight and height adjustable. He immediately started using it. I am a nurse, and the ones that he was getting were not sturdy at all, not designed for instability.

very good support!
I have been using different types of support canes for over 10 years, and I now need a cane that provides greater stability. This cane meets that need very well. It offers better support and significantly reduces stress and pain in my wrist and elbow while walking. I also appreciate that the cane can stand on its own due to its large, stable base.

Great stability but heavy.
Very sturdy and gives good stability but it is heavy. The big foot is a lot of the weight. Still going to use it.

Great purchas
I encountered a very big injury in January 2005, due to that I needed to have a left tibia plateau surgery. I had been wheelchair bound for 5 1/2 months. My next step after the wheelchair, was using a walker. I was searching on Amazon and I found the strong arm hybrid crutches/can. I have read a lot of reviews and all of them were pretty positive so I thought I would give it a shot. I purchased two of them since I’m still having trouble putting full weight on that left leg. I find that they’re extremely easy to use. Here is my downside to it, it makes me more independent in one aspect, but trying to live every day life, example being trying to cook is a little more difficult. I can’t carry anything when I’m using both at the same time. I’m trying to figure out a solution. I read that the bottom rubber piece. Is easy to work with and also comfortable. I feel steady on my feet, but I could see how an older person who wasn’t paying attention could trip because they’re wide. I have good strength in my arms so I don’t find that the strong arm is too heavy. I also bought the smaller rubber piece in the event. I didn’t like the wider ones. This is just my first day using them, so I can say so far so good. I could see where an older person would need to pay attention and make sure that they watched how far apart they had the poles while walking. This purchase was on the more expensive side, but I’m happy with my purchase. I would totally recommend them over crutches any day of the week. I like the way all the pressure when walking is just not on the palms of my hand. I hope they work just as well for you.

Address the cane tip issue and this is a great purchase
This cane has a 1 inch body, which is sturdy, as well as a good grip. However, the stabilizing foot that is included with the purchase weighs over a pound and really gets in the way when you try to walk. Also, there is no washer to protect the rubber foot from the metal body of the cane, so you can expect it to wear through rather quickly. It’s a nice cane, but I would strongly suggest that the first thing you do is either buy a 1 inch washer, or purchase normal 1 inch cane tips that come with the protective washer included. I would suggest that at this price point, maybe the addition of a minor piece of equipment to prolong the life of the item might be a good idea. Wouldn’t it be nice if the manufacturer had actually taken responsibility

Excellent Design!
Fantastic! This truly does give you extra support and it delivers on its promise! If you rely heavily and n a cane you should give this a try. I was very surprised at how much more confident and balanced I felt on my very first use! I does not collapse down, but that's a small price to pay for benefits you get from this unique design. The grip is also very comfortable with a broad base.
