I'm not sure why Amazon doesn't picture the dish this sets on, but it comes with a beautiful scalloped dish that is just as beautiful as the gravy boat. The gravy boat pours nicely and has a comfortable handle. It only holds about 1 3/4 cups of gravy, however, so if you're serving a big family, buy a thermal carafe to store the extra gravy in and send your teenager into the kitchen to refill it. It would also work well for cheese sauce. Like the bakeware, this is a work of art!

My favorite piece of dinnerware! This is a huge bowl! It does have low sides, but it is huge! Soooooooo beautiful!!! I sit on my livingroom chair, at supper time. My husband, and i like to watch tv while we eat. This is like a large plate, with sides, which keeps the food from sliding off onto our chairs. Lol! We looooove them!!! They are a little on the heavy side though, for holding on your lap, but that doesn't bother me. It is just perfect for my needs!

I purchased these bowls for serving. I thought the smaller of the two would be a perfect size for a Soup Bowl. I wish I could buy several more in that size as I love to serve hearty soup to casual dinner guests. But it is also a convenient size for serving a dinner vegetables such as corn. The larger bowl is just right for mashed potatoes or a large salad. I love all of the items that I have purchased in the butterfly meadow pattern. My hands are older and arthritic I just can’t big handle heavy dishes and the butterfly meadow pattern is lightweight, easy to handle, but extremely strong as it’s made of porcelain. Also it doesn’t require any special treatment. I put them in the microwave and I put them in the dishwasher and they come out beautiful every time! As an added bonus I use them as display in my small kitchen, and it feels like spring time every day!
