Marvel Strange Academy: First Class

Try not to die
A good story, with likeable characters. I would have given this 3.5 stars but it deserves a round up instead of down. The story does feel rushed and there is not much time for character development.I like the theory of the wizards or tomorrow and possibly the next Sorcerer Supreme. This school is a powder keg waiting to explode. Powerful young magic users students from our and multiple dimensions, and teachers with no idea of danger and questionable morals. I think it can be summed up in the phrase "try not to die". This would be is Snape ran Hogwarts. The artwork is good, the story (though rushed) is interesting and of course the characters a young, energetic and with their own secrets. I would say the they are out of control but the teachers are worse and done just let the students do reckless things but seem to encourage it.As the story was getting interesting and the characters started to come into their own it finished. On a cliffhanger. Yes I will definitely be getting the next volume.

Tiny, Tiny Book - FAR Smaller Than The Comics
This book is only a little larger than HALF the size of the original comics it is reprinting. This is an absolute travesty, as the story and the art are both great, but cannot be clearly appreciated in this form. Unless you have an industrial sized magnifying glass mounted on articulated armature, which is in turn mounted to a reading stand, DO NOT BUY THIS.

All great except size
This book is amazing. I love Ramos work, and he is putting out truly his best. I’ve only seen Young’s art work before, but it is so far really solid stuff. It’s literally Hogwarts for Marvel fans. My only complaint is that it is not full sized. Now I have debate on buying the next collection or waiting for (hopefully) a large hardcover edition. I want to fully take in this amazing story on a bigger scale.

Hang up the capes and pick up a wand
The dream team of Skottie Young & Humberto Ramos come together to give us a peak into the magical corner of the Marvel universe. This book captures the wonder (and danger) of Marvel's magical world, from a game of tag across the 9 realms to fighting swamp monsters. The old and new characters alike make this book a must read for anyone looking for something unique from their super hero books.
