Howard the Duck 0: What the Duck?

Such an awesome way to open a new series!!! I knew that when I saw a new "Howard the Duck" series was starting, I would have to start reading it and it's executed so well. It's a great read, funny, and tongue-in-cheek. I love that there are references throughout the issues of past adventures Howard's been on and the writers tell you the source, issue, the reference is from. There's awesome cameos in here from the Guardians of the Galaxy to Fantastic Four to Dr. Strange and She-Hulk, even to Squirrel Girl, which gave me a chuckle.These are the five issues to a Prologue kind of series. The actual "Howard the Duck" series is released in the Fall. This gives you an awesome adventure of Howard and introduces new characters, that I'm assuming are going to become regulars in the new series. Awesome read and I look forward to the new series.

I tried, no thank you. I just don't think anyone other than Steve Gerber really understood this character. If your a fan of the original series i would stay away from this. Grab a copy of the Howard book that Gerber did for Marvel/Max a few years ago, much better than this. This is obviously Marvel cashing in on the curiosity about the charter created after his appearance in Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Not quite as good as volume one. But it's Howard the duck so it's still great

I chose five stars because Chip and Company are carrying on the irreverent Steve Gerber tradition and keeping the Duck relevant in this post-Trump world. Marvelites,SNL fans, and McFarlane (Seth and Todd) fans, enjoy! WAUGH!

Great book, huge Howard fan. This one did not disappoint. Laughed out loud more than a few times.

I'm a big Howard the Duck fan. Unfortunately, this particular story is pretty mediocre. Not a lot of laughs and not very memorable. The art is nice though.

I couldn't stop laughing all throughout this trade. Howard pokes fun at the superheroes we all know & love. His sarcasm and wit shines. Hope to read more future comics on Howard T. Duck

This book was purchased for a coworker who loves Howard the Duck. He absolutely loved this book. It is very well done.
