SOONSUN Skeleton Housing Case with Skeleton Backdoor for GoPro Hero 4/3+/3

Just the case I was looking for. The skeleton has an open interface for usb connectors as well as a open window for the LCD screen for Go Pro users. I bought this skeleton for my Gitup Git2 camera. The button has a really nice tactile feel compared to my case which takes a bit of effort. Includes a rubber lens cover which is nice. Git2 Pro camera users beware, the camera's power button gets depressed upon closing the case close. The solution to this is to remove the power button via the micro snap ring inside the case. Simply hold the power button towards you and take a flat screwdriver to push the ring off the pin. Button should drop right out from the front. Careful and do not lose the snap ring!!! Next step requires extra attention. Take a drill bit the same size as the snap ring, measuring with the bottom of the bit (flat side). Now carefully line up the drill bit with the hole INSIDE the case and dig a little bit at a time. You want to remove just enough plastic so the pin doesn't rest on the power button on the camera when closing the lid. Have your drill at the lowest setting and use about 15% of the power. Drill too far and its game over for the power button.

Overall, its just another case. Does what its supposed to. Thick plastic. Nice cover for the lens part of the cover aswell.

Haven't had a single issue with it in a little over a month.. if your running a external mic this is the go to case for a Gopro Hero3. Granted if you want a water tight case / less wind noise this isn't the best choice.

I've never purchased anything from this company before so I was a little skeptical. I like the feel of the case, it seems to be built well. The clip on top is nice, strong and holds the case closed nicely. The GoPro fingers fit the attachments I already have. An overall good case, and good price.

This is a great little case. I needed something that was durable like the waterproof case I have but unlike the waterproof case I needed a case that would let the camera record audio. The waterproof GOPRO brand case is bad for recording audio because it makes the audio extremely quiet and muffled. This case is exactly like the waterproof one as far as build and durability but it has openings where the plugs and mic and touchscreen is so you get flawless clear audio. Completely satisfied!

The case works great for access to the side ports on the camera, but with my GoPro Hero 4 Silver I wanted to be able to connect it to an external battery source while fishing, so I could get all-day battery capacity. Unfortunately, the back of the camera case didn't allow for that access, so I had to do a little chipping and whittling with my jackknife (I was already on my boat fishing with the camera when I needed this) to open up the back left cover a bit to allow for the external battery connection.

Just as described, works excellent, nice hole on top for much better audio which solved my major concern, cables fit fine through side, trying to put a replacement memory card isn't going to happen without taking your camera out even though it shows you can, and of course you need to also remove the camera to swap out batteries. Over all, it's still a 5 star in my book for being advertised accurately and having a great price. They also shipped quickly. Hope this helps.

On its first use the mounting hinges snapped. Camera lost on the freeway.

Seems to be by far the best aftermarket case for my Hero 3+. Heavy duty locking mechanism, removable back door so you can put your battery bacpac or led bacpac on too. Great value for he cash, and most of the others don't have the proper openings for cables and are usually cheap junk.

Really well made. Fits perfectly and the cut outs are well placed.

Got this for my Go Pro Hero 3+ and it does the trick - easy to get to the slots to plug in a USB so I can connect an external monitor.
