POC Kortal Race MIPS

With a little time under my belt with this beautifully crafted helmet, now is as good a time as any to review it. This Poc helmet truly does look and feel perfect in my humble opinion. Why? Ergonomics, fit, esthetic, and most of all comfort whether on a short or long ride. I initially was down because my goggle-stlye riding glasses didn't quite fit under the helmet... that was until I remembered the adjustment dial on the back. I opened it up a little and, voilà, no more problem. Some may say these helmets are too pricy. I say you absolutely get what you pay for and what you'd be paying for is a helmet that is in a lane of its own. There is a lot more I could say, but won't. I say do your homework, read up on this brand and absolutely read the reviews! If you're anything like me, this helmet will amaze...

Great looking good quality Helmet. Sizing concern solved. If you are mid sizing 58cm 59cm go with the XL. I'm 58.5cm and the X large has plenty of adjustment. I tried the M-L and it was too narrow I could not even try it on.

Very comfortable helmet and not too nerdy looking. I usually wear a skate park helmet so this has been a massive improvement as far as ventilation. The fit is quite nice although the chin strap seems to be a little short so if you have a big ole double chin you might need something larger. Overall this helmet has been incredible! I will consider buying a full face from POC due to how comfy and light this one is.

Fit and finish is good. The only issue buyers should be aware of is that the fluorescent orange color fades very quickly in the sun. After a short time the top of the helmet is very faded while the visor is not. I’m not terribly surprised as generally fluorescent colors have fading issues in my experience.

Love the fit of the helmet and would have been perfect. The problem I had with this helmet is it broke just riding with it on with no crash. I was riding in 40 degree weather when suddenly the helmet became super loose. I took it off and realized the plastic broke on the adjustable section of the helmet. This was the 3rd time I wore this. Not sure if this is a common thing, but it was a waste of $200+.

GREAT fitting helmet, plenty of adjustments. Maybe on the expensive side - but I’d rather put a hole in this, that my head! Very lightweight, like the styling. Once fitted, it’s a single clip for the chin. Lovely build quality. Value for money? How much is YOUR head worth to you? (And yes, if I crash this one l, I’ll be buying another!

Die Luftkanäle sorgen für angenehme Kühlung, sogar bei warmem Wetter und anstrengenden Anstiegen. Optisch macht der Helm ebenfalls einen starken Eindruck – sportlich, modern und klar im Design, ohne zu auffällig zu sein.
