The pictures are great and the layout is very nice. There’s also an index in the back for the math topics. My son likes this book a lot and it has sparked a lot of discussions about the science and math of baseball. Ex: When my son was learning about decimals, we used the information in the book to calculate all the various stats in the book.

I bought this for my son and when he saw it he was so excited! Not only does he love baseball but math is also his favorite subject in school. The quality of the book, much like everything from National Geographic is a great quality. The concept of "learning" while you're enjoying something you love so much is a great motivator for kiddos alike but especially boy's I've learned. My son started reading this book almost immediately, turning the pages and looking at pictures... identifying players and brushing up on stats. "Hey mom, did you know _______" I think went on until bedtime. So... not only does this book help with math, I think it does a really great job helping kids with reading. It keeps them engaged with facts, trivia, and so much more!

Great intro into the world of baseball without being too heavy or technical. There is plenty of description of statistics and rules but it’s broken down in an easy to digest manner.

I purchased this book for my classroom in an effort to get some of my boys more involved in math. It worked perfectly combining baseball with math really made the difference. Good quality book great buy.
