Duncan Hines Classic White Cake Mix, 15.25 oz.

Duncan Hines makes a good cake mix. I like the basic vanilla flavor, because there is so much you can do with it. I like to add a little extra vanilla to my cake mix to give it an extra richness of flavor. You can also look up directions online to make the cake mix into some great cookies. You basically just add a little less liquid. If you want plain, white cake, this is a great choice. It is so convenient. The directions are very easy to follow. You will need to add some additional eggs, oil, and water. If you want the cake to be fully white, you will have to use just egg whites, but if you don’t mind a little color, then you can use whole eggs. You can also whip up the egg whites for an extra fluffy cake. You can even make a soda cake with various flavors of soda like Coke, root beer, or orange soda. What I don’t like: the cake mixes keep getting smaller and smaller. They used to be 16 ounces, and they keep putting less in them. You will probably want to get two cake mixes, unless you want your cake to be tiny, or very thin. Duncan Hines cake mixes always fluff up into a light, fluffy, moist cake. I have tried to make as good a cake from scratch, but I haven’t been able to do it. In short, this mix is a great option to help you easily and conveniently make your favorite confections. You can use this mix to make cake, cookies, cobbler, or even dump cake. It’s also very reasonably priced. I love this cake mix, and will buy it again, for sure.

White cake has always been one of my favorites, ever since being a little kid. This cake mix works great as a base for so many other cakes it is the cake that I add sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk and wind up with a Tres Leche cake. Sometimes I'll even use an 8 in. glass baking pan and make half of the mix in a microwave. When you do that you don't even have to grease and flour, just put the cake mix in, add an egg and some oil, and microwave until it's done. To make a lovely Tres Leche cake, bake it as directed on the package. After it's cooled slightly, poke holes in it with a chopstick, mix a can of sweetened condensed milk and about half a can of evaporated milk and pour it over the cake. Let it cool completely and then frost it with sweetened whipped cream and decorate with some maraschino cherries. It's delicious! Or instead of using water you can use pineapple juice and make a pineapple upside down cake with it. This mix is so versatile. And cheaper than local stores!

Taste great, easy to bake

If you like white cake, this is a good choice. Baking isn't my strongest suit, but the instructions are straight forward and the result is optimal when they are followed. Prepping the cooking pan with some cooking spray or other oil is critical for removal after baking, or it's safe to expect a significant amount of the cake to resist eviction.... The flavor is what you'd expect from a white cake- no disappointment there. Overall, this is usually priced reasonably.

It's getting harder and harder to find Duncan Hines in the local stores so I was thrilled to find it here and for such a reasonable price.

If you're not going gourmet, you can always trust Duncan Hines. I've always liked this cake mix line out of all commercial supermarket cake mixes. Nothing like a feather-light slice of snowy-white cake with a moist crumb. Pairs great with a chocolate ganache icing, but can go great with any icing or fruit.

muy buen producto, les recomiendo modificar la receta para que quede con un sabor y consistencia mas casera (por ejemplo cambiar el agua por leche, agregar extracto de vainilla, agregar polvo para hornear, limon, etc) en internet se encuentran muchas recetas y formas y consejos para que modifiquen los ingredientes, el sabor es buenísimo y definitivamente sigo comprando esta marca, al principio pensé que por ser harina preparada el sabor se iba a sentir artificial pero a como lo hicimos el sabor quedó delicioso y muy esponjado, recomiendo los productos de esta marca.

La miga del pan en efecto sale blanca solo usando las claras, las instrucciones piden 3 claras pero yo utilicé 4 para compensar la falta de yemas y quedó muy bien. Compré está harina ya qué en mi ciudad no la venden. Se puede colorear la masa para tener panes dr diferentes colores.

Tiene un excelente sabor y textura, muy fácil de preparar.
