I’m really impressed with this 9” Evolution saw. For the most part it’s ergonomically balanced, although I find the handle and trigger gets a little tiresome after long cuts. For the cost it has good power. I read reviews about this saw tripping breakers, but that’s common with any corded electric saw. It would be nice to have more context of those reviews. I have yet to trip a breaker but I have experience with other main brand saws. If you use an extension cord keep it short and heavy. I use a 12 gauge 50’ cord on 15 amp (even 10 amp) circuit no problem. Let the saw do the work and don’t push it. I’ve bogged the saw down a few times so it doesn’t have infinite power. It cuts 3-1/2” deep so good enough in 4” slabs. I’ve used it for slabs, limestone, rebar and just finished over 300’ of 1-1/4” deep control joints. All on the blade it came with. The diamond blade is adequate although not the fastest cutting blade I’ve used. Again, you get what you pay for but this saw is worth it. If it died I’d buy another and still be money ahead compared to the big brands.

If you're looking at this you're likely facing what I was.... you're building a patio or retaining wall yourself and need to cut a few bricks then put it away for a few years. Maybe you've never even used a concrete saw and are intimidated by one, especially a huge rental gas powered machine. If you run a hardscape company this isn't the tool for you of course.I have a large project underway for a front entrance and I need to make some precise concrete cuts. I finished a patio last year and did the DIY thing and used a cold chisel and hammer for a few bricks and wall blocks. I want happy with that outcome and going to avoid it with my other project.Also if you're reading this I'm sure you found that renting a saw is close to $100 a day and typically large gas powered behemoths. I was preparing myself to measure all the blocks I needed cut to do on one day. Great in theory but when you're building a wall impossible. So i was looking at interrupting my natural flow of building and having multiple rentals. Add to that you also need to buy a blade for around $70.I thought I was stuck, buying a concrete saw for $1,000 wasn't in my budget, but renting multiple times would approach $400. Then I spot this little guy and while dubious was convinced by reviews to give it a go.I'm impressed! I'm not a large individual and this is very light. The handles are positioned well. I started on a scrap block to get the feel for it and a few cuts later tackled my first batch of eight blocks - they are hollow core 18x6x12. The blade was large enough to cut through what i needed. It went through the blocks very easily with no issues. I now have the piece of mind when I need to cut more blocks and pavers for this project I can just pull this out.Since you're likely new to the concrete cutting business heed general safety advice. Wear full goggles, dust mask, gloves, and protective boots. This is dusty work!! It does have an adapter for their water system. If you need to make a lot of cuts, or a long continuous one I'd recommend that. This also is an electric motor which means no maintenance or fuel, but take it easy on it. Give it a rest in between cuts. Over stressing an electric motor is a quick way to ruin it.UPDATE: After six weeks of heavy use this hasn't let me down. I'm just now wearing out the blade that it came with and ordering a new blade from Evolution... it's half the price of others I've found and it worked very well. I have zero regrets at this point and if this lasts me through this project and fails I would consider it a worthwhile investment.

I purchased this item about a year ago. When we bought our house a few years back, we were informed that there was some minor plumbing issue 🙄. Turns out nothing was minor about it at all. The house was built in the 70’s here in South Florida and of course they used cast iron pipes. Over time the pipe leading to the main sewage drain was discovered to have a dip which continuously caused clogs or slow drainage. After contacting several contractors, we were quoted at 50k, 33k and 15k to either reline the pre-existing pipe or to re-route with PVC.I for one don’t know a lot about plumbing, but I wasn’t willing to spend so much money on a recently purchased home not knowing whether or not the problem would come back.***Actual product review***Long story long, I contacted my dad and purchased this saw which literally saved me thousands of dollars. Yes there may have been a couple of days of some intense labor, but we got the job done. The water gauge is very important, as it helps to cut through concrete like butter. Make sure to use all of the safety precautions available, protective lenses, gloves and a mask. Also we made a huge mess, but ultimately we got the job done. The biggest benefit due to the fact that we were working indoors is that the saw is electric, which eliminates the idea of carbonated toxins. Yet based on the performance of the saw you couldn’t tell whether it was motorized or electric. You’ll definitely need to use an electrical outlet that’s being supported by at least a 30amp circuit breaker, because this little saw packs a mean punch. As I said it’s been a year and we haven’t had not one single incident since, as we were averaging 4-5 major backups annually. If you made it this far through the review, it means you’re pretty invested. Just go ahead and added to the cart trust me it’s worth every penny.

This saw has plenty of power for cutting concrete and stone. Let the blade do the work. If you keep it straight, meaning don’t bind the blade, it’ll cut like butter and not bog down. The water system works perfectly, keeping the dust at bay. Although it’s a heavy saw, the weight is distributed well and has good balance.The enormous motor starts up slowly, gets up to speed smoothly and the electric brake acts quickly to stop the blade. I run mine on a large generator because it’s a very heavy draw and couldn’t be run on my small solar powered system. You better have a full 20 amp circuit to run it properly.It really is a capable, well-designed masonry saw, except I wish they would have included a depth stop for cutting lines to a consistent depth. Evolution has made a pretty good, reasonably priced product here and I’d recommend it.

I ordered the Evolution R255DCT concrete saw to use in cutting field (natural) stone. I'm placing the fieldstone around my front porch and mortaring it in place. Some of the stone was very large, over 100 lbs, 36"+ in diameter, and 5 or 6" thick. Some thicker. It came with the 10" premium diamond blade and was advertised as cutting 4-1/16" thick. I selected it for the 4" diameter and the weight of the saw (16 lbs vs 21 for the next upsize - I'm not as young or strong as I used to be). I mark the cut line with chalk and just follow the line, making an initial shallow cut for the blade to follow on later cuts. . I let the weight of the saw carry the saw through the cut and I just move it forward. I'll make multiple passes through the stone to reduce potential kickback. That takes the strain off of me bending over and cutting the rock, which is lying on the ground (resting on smaller rocks). I've attached pictures that shows I'm getting at least 4" thick cuts which satisfies me. Another picture shows larger rocks that were cut. The 10" premium blade cuts well, no complaints there. It's rated at 15 amps and several reviews said it kept kicking breakers. I'm using it with a 15 amp 100' construction grade extension cord on a 20 amp breaker and have not experienced any breaker kicks. Not any. One of the videos on it said the blade stopped (breaked) after you let off the trigger. That has not been my experience. It keeps on turning, slowing down, so one needs to be careful and not swing it down by a leg. The diamond blade will go through meat quickly. I also like the angle of the saw body so it can be laid down without the blade coming into contact with the ground or floor. The only issue I've had, and this is a nit, is that the bracket assembly that fastens on the bottom, with wheels to allow it to roll on concrete, is supposed to have 2 fasteners. It only came with one. I contacted Evolution and they were very supportive and jumped right on it. I'm using it with only one screw in it because I'm not trying to roll it. It's holding fine with just the one since it hooks into place and the screws just lock it down. Overall I am very pleased with this saw. Field stone generates a LOT of dust so I highly recommend a respirator and safety goggles. I use a cordless leaf blower to clean it up after use. Works well. I recommend this saw if you're looking for a good saw at a reasonable price.

This is a great saw. I was in between buying a saw or renting and decided to buy when I found this unit. I had to make a number of cuts in my slab during a kitchen remodel and it handled the job with ease. I hooked it up to my water hose and dialed in the feed easily. If you keep a shop vac handy to suction up the water there's very little slurry and almost no dust.

Beware. I purchased a new unit, but received a “clean” used unit. The amount of dust build up inside the crevices, along with the smudges throughout the manual made it pretty obvious that this wasn’t just for “testing” purposes. At least the circular blade appears to be new. It’s a tool, so it’s not the end of the world but still frustrating. I’ve reached out to the company, but so far no luck. I will update this review if I finally get a response, so proceed at your own risk. As far as performance… I haven't used this particular saw yet but I have used this model in the past and they do perform very well for what they are. Not going to replace any of my bigger gas powered saws but they do perform well for their size and for tighter cuts in place. Surprisingly, these things can cut a pretty good radius.

Ordered this from the UK and when it arrived it was US specification 120 volts not UK 240V. I didn't see that on the product description, so I am returning it.

I bought this saw to cut a footing for a car hoist i am installing. I didn't want to rent because of all the hassel, and renting is almost the same price as this saw. I am absolutely amazed how well this saw performed. I cut a 4 foot square footing hole plus 2 waffle cuts. It took me about an 1hr of total cutting time. This was at full depth. So 25 feet of 4 ½ inch concrete. It didn't niss a beat, the blade is almost like new still. Saved myself huge money doing the cut myself, and i get to keep the saw. I wouldn't use this saw daily but as a backup or doing how jobs once in a while its amazing. A 20amp breaker is helpful, i didn't have any trips. 15amp may be an issue. Definitely spend the extra and get the wet saw. It hooks tona garden hose so no fancy connections needed. Highly recommend this saw.

Es un producto que cumple su función tanto para piedra natural, concreto armado, ladrillos (albañilería en general) su protección de apagado cuando se sobre carga de trabajo funciona muy bien para evitar dañar el producto. El disco produce un corte de aprox 11cm. de profundidad, y un ancho de 3 a 4mm. El largo del cable de alimentación es bueno. Y el nivel de ruido es el normal para esta clase de herramientas. El disco no ha presentando desgaste evidente. Aun a pesar que ya lo he usado para cortar concreto armado (techo) y loza de concreto.
