I so much appreciate people that can make things simple and clear to understand. I'm working on building my company's website and brand and this is just, without-a-doubt, so peace giving! One thing I will say to the author or the author's editor is that there are a LOT of sentence errors. For example page 58 has two in almost one paragraph: 1. "I often get asked, "What order would be put these sections in?" There are some words missing in that sentence. And just below that there's, 2. "At the end of a couple short hours, the hundreds of businesses leaders in the room have wireframes a website that will work." I think you meant *business leaders.* Things like that are pretty common in this book and if you're trying to build trust with your readers, that your materials DO in fact work, it might be worth making sure things are grammatically correct since the context of the book is all about choice of WORDS, etc. I certainly give you the benefit of the doubt, though. The content truly is great and really helpful. Just something to consider revising if you haven't already. :) Cheers! Basic but Powerful
I have seen numerous reviews saying this book is for someone who doesn't know anything about marketing and how it is really only the basics of marketing, but for someone trying to get a website up and running and trying to start my company, I thought this book was perfect. It goes through a sales funnel, in its basic form yes, but a fantastic start. It goes into the types of emails (Nurture and sales emails) as well as creating your website and even a one-liner. Overall, I am pleased with this book and thought it was a great introduction to marketing.

Before you decide "marketing doesn't work"...
If you've spent a buttload of money and untold hours trying to market your business...and customers are still giving you the cold shoulder, this book is welcome medicine. Author Donald Miller, and co-author J.J. Peterson, are no strangers to the struggles of building a business. But they've also seen their own company StoryBrand grow exponentially in just a few years. Their book is insightful and immensely practical. (Actually it's a kind of "sequel" to Miller's 2017 book Building a StoryBrand.) In short, here's a step-by-step guide for getting the attention (and the business!) of distracted consumers in a noisy marketplace. At first, the approach seems almost too simple. But the number of businesses large and small that are using this approach and growing by the day is impressive. Miller argues convincingly that clarity is everything, that businesses that confuse customers, lose customers. He makes a compelling case: maybe we make marketing way more complicated than it needs to be?

Good, clear framework with plenty of examples
The Marketing Made Simple framework gives small businesses a good place to start to develop a digital marketing system. It's full of specific recommendations and templates. These include: email scripts, meeting agendas, elevator pitches and more. Don and JJ are clearly effective communicators. They use simple, direct language. They are entertaining to follow. I found Don through his daily business video tips. A year of which is easily worth 1000x the price of this book. And available for free. The website framework they have is the best I've seen. I've read plenty about sales/nurture email scripts. But I have yet to come across as detailed a guide for what to include on your website home page. It's not theoretical, it works. There are a few opportunities for improvement. First, there were quite a few typos. Example: "The purpose of the fourth meeting is to decided what language..." I counted at least three. Second, the scope is limited to "email/website marketing". This would have been okay if it were made clear. But, the title of the book is not "Email Marketing Made Simple". It would have been nice to see how the framework extends to channel partnerships, advertising, print/mail and more. Our customer's email inboxes are only getting busier. "Email marketing" is providing diminishing returns. Finally, it was difficult to locate the templates to download. But maybe that's just me! Aside from these minor nuisances, Don and JJ have put together a fantastic asset for small businesses. I have a clear map for an email marketing system. They've stated what works in a novel way. And we've redesigned our website with many of their recommendations.

Phenomenal Book! A must buy
This book has clear, actionable steps toward growing your business via marketing. I've read many books, but THIS one, has straight forward and very precise steps you can do to position your business properly and increase sales, revenue, traffic ,etc. Whatever your business goals are, marketing can achieve it. And this book will show you how. I'm astounded at its practicality and direct message on how to ACTUALLY make a difference with your marketing efforts. It's a must buy.
