GF Mac-n- cheese Oh Yeah!
I love this product! For a meal or as a side it's wonderful and quick. Better tan me having to do it homemade. This product is also a jumping off point for GF "one pot" meals. For example I make cheeseburger macaroni and cheese. I brown ground sirloin w/ a little olive oil and diced white onions and minced garlic and season meat w/ salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder. After meat is done leave in sauce pan/ skillet add completed man-n- cheese then stir add diced Veelvita and a little cream/ milk to make mixture creamy. To get cheeseburger taste I mix a small amount of ketchup and mustard then stir in. We eat leftovers. Another is to stir fry chopped GF beef sausage into Mac-n- cheese. Another is stir fried diced ham (if you buy pre-packaged dry with paper towel ... All the moisture doesn't go well in dish) and thawed but not cooked green peas. Basically a starter for lots of dishes. This product stores extremely well. I know because I tested it. I saved a box from just a little over 2 years ago (with a use by date making it 27 months) and used it in the cheeseburger macaroni recipe. Still tasted the same and being Celiac I have a very delicate digestive system so the smallest thing off hits me quick and hard. No problems and tasted great. Dry pasta stores extremely well and the cheese sauce is in a Mylar pouch.

If you miss mac'n'cheese...
...this is the best gluten-free alternative I have tasted. It's easy to make - ready in about 15 minutes from when you start to boil water. You don't need extra ingredients like milk or butter. Texture of the noodles is great and the cheese sauce melts nicely to coat the noodles. The only disappointment (if you can call it that) is that the mac'n'cheese does not reheat well if you try to save it for leftovers - the texture of the noodles is reasonable enough, however the cheese sauce can dry out too much. I've been able to get around this by removing the pasta I know we won't eat (what would typically be leftovers) before mixing in the cheese sauce. Then I am able to use the leftover pasta with another sauce later. I started buying it on Amazon's subscribe-and-save program because we go through enough of it on our household that this is the most affordable option!

it better if you add cheese for a grown up taste
the pasta is totally rice(sticky), the sauce is too thick but if you add milk/cream and it's fine(i've used several cases). This is a premixed cheese sauce similar to a box of velveeta shells and cheese. I'd(the kids) would prefer just a large box of the original powder based cheese sauce. flavor is ok but "fake cheese" flavor, the kids will eat it but, it better if you add cheese for a grown up taste. I haven't tried it with the velveeta recipes, though I'm sure it'd work because the kids would never eat it like that, and after all it is for my little NCGS child. This amount of cheese doesn't seem to bother her lactose issues, she can eat a container of yogurt a day, without issue. good luck !

AWESOME
Anyone who eats gluten free knows that it is VERY difficult to find a food product that tastes like the "real thing". If you hadn't of told me that this was gluten free, I wouldn't be able to recognize it by taste alone.Yes it's more of an artificial cheese flavor, but what do people expect? Fresh cheese isn't going to magically grow out of the box! Compared to the other Annie's gluten free mac & cheese, this one is better (if not VERY close). The reason why I like this better is because everything is in the box. You don't need milk, butter, nothing. Just boil the noodles, drain, add cheese sauce, and DONE.It's quick, easy, delicious and worth it! Highly recommended!

Great option for quick comfort food if you can't have Gluten!
I keep this in my pantry as a quick meal option because I am gluten intolerant and really miss all the easy to make things that used to be available to me. I don't use the full package of sauce since it's a little too much cheese for my taste, but about 1/2 the packet provides more than enough flavor and is pretty much the same as the Kraft or Velveeta equivalents. The rice pasta is great, and maintains a very good consistency. I recommend cooking it a little longer than the package tells you, and try it to make sure it's the way you want since I think it was a little undercooked the first times I made it and it's not regular pasta so that doesn't really mean "al dente".I love all the Annie's products I've tried and this is no exception! I'm pretty sure this would be a great option for kids as well, and if you can't have gluten you really won't find many better options on the market for this sort of quick/easy meal. One box is more than enough for the main part of a meal for two adults, and good for a small family when supplemented with some veggies/etc.

Finally, Mac and Cheese that reminds me of being a kid.
I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at 17, and since then there are certain foods I have not been able to fully replace. Mac and Cheese is one of them. Before this, the closest I had come was making my own Velveeta Mac and Cheese, to imitate Kraft's version. I have had the other Annie's gf mac and cheese, which is widely available in stores, but I've never been a fan of the sauce, which is made from a powder and just doesn't do it for me. I saw that this deluxe version was available, but couldn't find it in any local store, so I took the risk and bought it here. I am so glad that I did! It tastes similar to the Kraft Dinner I used to eat as a kid, but I have a feeling that due to the better quality ingredients in this product I would still prefer Annie's to Kraft if I could eat both. Now I have five more boxes stored in my cabinet and some left over mac and cheese in my fridge. I think this will last me a while.

Gluten Free Kraft Dinner
I was surprised, but I really liked this. The noodles weren't gummy, the cheese sauce tasted like Kraft Dinner, and it was super easy. I don't have to eat gluten free, my husband and son do, so I actually treat myself to real KD once in awhile and this really is just like it. In the past, we were using DeBole's, and I always had to doctor it up with Horizon cheese slices and real shredded cheese. And rinse the pasta off well. And have butter and milk on hand. Even with all that, I still couldn't stand the taste and wouldn't eat it. This mac & cheese is good enough that I won't have to buy Kraft Dinner anymore and just enjoy this with my gf family members.
