Really is universal with different Chamberlain brands
Moved into a new house about 3 years ago that came with a two car garage and one side had an early 2000s Liftmaster opener already installed. I waited until i renovated the garage to install a new opener I've had since about 2012 which is a Craftsman that came with 3 "universal" remotes. Turns out that only means its universal with the same generation coding and vice versa with the Liftmaster remote. When I got this remote it took maybe 10 seconds to program each door, only had to do it once and haven't had any issues. Not sure if i would pay $45 for it but if you need a new remote that has to control two different kinds of opener this is a good one. Just watch for a lower priced seller or a used one to pay under $30.

This universal garage door opener worked great! There is no lag at all. My husband found it after our second attempt (the first universal remote we tried was not so universal 😂 )I added a screen shot of the YouTube video we used to program it. Programming itself was super easy, but one thing we had to do was hard reset the garage door opener that was hard wired on the wall in the garage by doing a long hold on the button until the garage door was completely shut.The issue we had was when we pressed the newly programmed clicker it would start to close but then shoot back up like it was sensing something was in the way, but there was nothing in the way.We found that holding the GARAGE WALL button down, , not the clicker, the garage door was able to fully shut. It was only after the hard reset that we were able to open and close the garage door normally using the new clicker!

Cheap and Easy to Connect!
I got this Chamberlain garage door remote for my rental property and it's been super useful. Setup was quick and easy, and I didn’t need any wiring or tools to get it going. The remote works perfectly with both garage doors and feels solid in hand. My tenant said it was simple to use and reliable right away. For the price, it really is a great deal and I’ll probly get another one if I need to. Happy with this purchase overall and would recommend it to others.
