The Colors of Fall Road Trip Guide

Ugh I hate reading reviews when people haven't actually used or read the book.... But I just have to say, I didn't realise exactly how far up north these sites were. I live in FL and have never taken a trip to see the leaves change, so we are planning on something more like North Carolina.... Anyway, 5 stars because it's beautiful and my ignorance when purchasing shouldn't bring the book down. Plus - it's so lovely, we're starting to think more like Vermont. Will update my review if we do that.

I was looking for a book that covers the most favorite drives and short hikes in New England in the fall. I haven't started using it yet, but at first glance this book looks perfect. It not only has great illustration maps and detailed descriptions of the various driving routes and leg-stretcher hiking trails, but it also includes GPS locations for everything, a great help! And the beautiful pics help to set the stage for what we might see if we take each route. Looking forward to taking this book along on our driving trip next fall to New England.

I know a number of the routes in the book, have a place on one of them. If you're a photographer coming to New England for foliage photos, you need this book. I'm flinding places that, as a local, I didn't know about.

Poured over this book before we traveled to New England for our first Fall Drive in that part of the country. I mapped out and combined a number of suggested drives. In 6 days we drove 1700 miles and managed to see and enjoy routes from this book in New Hampshire, Vermont, MA and CT.... It was very helpful and easy to follow. Loved the suggestions. I highly recommend this book!

Great book. Great suggestions. Very good map to go with the loops recommended. This is one of two books that we used (the other was Frommers 23 Great Drives) and using the two of them we had the greatest autumn New England trip. I would recommend both. We will be using both many times in the future.

I chose this book to help plan a trip we are taking in October. It has been the guide for all our plans'. The maps of side trips are so helpful and we will use it as we explore. The photos are gorgeous. I can't wait. Marilyn Rockwood

Nice sceneries and map. This is great for people who are unfamiliar with the area.

Good guide to all interesting locations for fall foliage. Easy to follow and very well planned.
