A case
A case that makes an M.2 SSD behave like a 2.5 inch drive. It works for me.

Saved My Upgrade from Being a Total Disaster!
I was in the middle of a PC upgrade when I hit that sinking feeling... my new motherboard didn't have a slot for my old M.2 SATA boot drive. It was a big problem, and I thought I'd have to buy a whole new SSD. I found this adapter and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. Much better value than buying a new drive. It worked perfectly straight out of the box. I just plugged my M.2 drive into the card, put it in the 2.5-inch enclosure, and connected it like a normal SATA drive. The PC booted up from it instantly with no issues at all. It was a complete lifesaver. My only minor negative is that the mounting screw inside didn't fit with my particular M.2 drive (a standard 2280 length). So, I couldn't screw the nvme down properly. However, the SATA connector holds it in place quite well, and for extra security, I just used a small piece of electrical tape to hold the end down. It's been working fine ever since. A brilliant, simple solution to a very frustrating problem. A note for other buyers: Make sure your M.2 drive is a SATA-based one (usually has B+M keys). This is NOT compatible with NVMe (PCIe) M.2 drives!

This is poorly made and a fire hazard!!!

Helped solve a mistake I made.
I mistakenly bought a M.2 sata ssd (NGFF) instead of a M.2 NVMe that I needed for my motherboard. Thankfully this little gizmo saved the day. Well, not quite saved the day. I still had to buy an NVMe. However, i used this gizmo to attach the M.2 sata (NGFF) as an extra SSD. Brilliant. Thank you. Very cheap and fantastic product. Great value for money.

Works well!
This works for both the SATA and the newer connection type (as in pic). I did not think it did at first but you just have to get it the right way round and persevere. It worked a treat in the end and I replaced my SSD in my laptop using the bundled sideway in short order. You went to the sight and followed instructions and did what it said. Writing this now using my new 1T drive!

Works great
Installed out the box, the fixing screws are minute, so I didn't bother, just slipped straight into the PC drive bay.
