What grit grade are these?

Our glass files are the same Fine Grit that is gentle on the natural nail. Since the grit of etched glass is measured differently than paper emery boards, if compare to paper ones, it's probably close to a 200 fine grit.

Cleaning? The description states: easy to clean, but no instructions were included telling you how to clean them.

You can clean them with soap, or hydrogen peroxide if you’re concerned with bacteria. I think the main point is they’re cleanable, which other Emory boards are not. Basically they’re the same as washing dishes.

Can you clean under your nails with this?

You could, but I wouldn't prefer to. The glass tip is shaped like you could, but it's too rough (?). If you clean under your nails, you'll likely have to refile your nails again. This isn't the best quality, but okay for the price.

Can these be used to file the tops of nails to make smooth?

There is no information on the package. I found out about this on a YouTube video called The Salon Life. The women in the video used them but it was on natural nails and I can't remember if she smoothed the top.
