Nerf Rebelle Sweet Revenge Dart Kit

Normally, I hate when they re-color toys a pink shade and try ever-so-obviously to pander to girls. It is slightly condescending, don't you think? So it is pink, and now you think girls will like it more? And worse, the advertising campaign for this toy tries to entice girls by the "Hey girls, be a snotty teenager which is soooo cool" thing, gag me with a spoon. And the dreaded "girls rule, boys drool" shtick is sooOOOOooo icky, I don't want to talk about it. That said, however, this toy is awesome. First, it is a successful gun design, essentially the zombie-strike revolver which is jam-proof and easy to load, and has hammer-fire like the old west. We have a LOT of NERF guns and the revolvers are the ONLY guns that are reliable when the chips are down. Meaning no tears and "daddy fix this". Meanwhile, for essentially the same price as the same zombie-strike gun, you get a very practical holster and some shades (which, honestly, the kids should wear with NERF darts flying everywhere. So it is actually a great deal. My daughter (5 going on 14) loves the fancy dart colors and can work the hammer, but keeping up with older brothers made her a pro, so maybe a bit older kids could more readily work the mechanics. I live in Texas now, so, you know, even the girls HAVE to have a gun.

My 8 year old daughter is having a lot of fun with this toy, blasting the darts all over inside the house. The darts are soft so even though it can fly far and hit the wall, it won't damage the wall at all. I feel safe even when she uses it indoors. Most times, shooting toys look like it's only for boys. So it was pretty cool to see a shooting toy that has sexy-cute design for girls. I like the fact that it doesn't need battery. Toys that require battery can be a hassle for parents sometimes... looking for a screw driver, getting new batteries, etc... The stylish vision gear that matches with the blaster is really cute. The holster is fun to use. My daughter attached the holster on to the pants pocket. The blaster is light enough for kids to carry with one hand, it's easy to operate, and it works great! It's around $20, which is a good price range for a birthday gift. Overall, I think this is a fun and exciting shooting toy for girls around 7~8 years old.

I anxiously awaited this gun's release date, because I wanted it for an event. Lucky for me, it shipped about 5 days before said event, and all was well. I own both this and the Hammershot, the "boy" version decked out in orange&black "zombie-killing" style. Both are great guns, but for me, the tattoo-like design of the Sweet Revenge was just a tad cooler. Pros: the Hammer! Being able to fire this one-handed is awesome, pure and simple. Small hands might have a harder time cocking the hammer, but otherwise, this is great. Cons: No quick way to reload, like with a modified maverick or strong-arm, but this is minor. I found the gun pretty accurate, but mostly, it's a tons of fun. This "kit" comes with some glasses and a holster; I didn't use either, but both are quite usable. The holster is just a clip-on-the-belt though, it doesn't have a full loop. It's got room for 3 rounds.

This was a Christmas gift for my 6 yr old niece and it was a big hit, immediately upon opening it. The gun is of decent size, and what a bargain I got on it with the eyeglasses and holster included! The eyeglasses are of very good quality, & for younger ones, I think very important if they are having a nerf war. (Altho' Nerf says they can't hurt the eyes, if the gun has good power, which this one does, don't kid yourself! A child could easily be hurt if not wearing glasses. In my house, all the children must wear safety glasses of some type when play with Nerf guns.) The day after receiving it, my niece had to have tubes put in her ears. In calling to see how she made out, her mother told me that while she was suppose to be resting, she could not put down the nerf gun..... she absolutely loved it. For those teens or adults out there who want to play with Nerf, this is a very nice gun even for adults. It says it will shoot up to 75" and I believe it.... it has excellent force! I'd guess it to be about 12" long, easy enough for females to handle. You can't lose with this purchase, especially if Amazon still has it on sale.

Got this for my stepdaughter for Christmas. She liked mine and my fiance's nerf guns, but didn't really play much with them. After getting her this though, she was having an absolute blast. She's already ordering and buying more Rebelle stuff (ordered the heartbreaker bow) and a pack of extra darts (but word of warning below). She also loves to duel (I'm going to have to get a smaller one now, kinda hard to pull one the size of an M4 out of your belt loop). It's easy to operate and the glasses and holster are great. Has really good shooting power too. We like to shoot koozies off the counter top, and hers can blast them across the room. But a word of warning to others getting the Rebelle darts. The ones with designs on them may look good, but the extra designs are raised juuust a tiny bit, but it's enough to cause them to jam in the gun and not fire. When my stepdaughter bought a 12 pack, 4 of them were unusable in this type of Rebelle gun. Not the gun's fault at all though, it's a design problem with the darts.

I find myself wondering why Nerf hasn't thought of marketing their products to girls before. My 8 year old sister was never one to shy away from a nerf battle persay, but I think she always felt like she was borrowing her brother's guns (even though they were meant to be shared). This set is a perfect starter kit. It includes the gun, the protective glasses (a very welcome accessory), holster, and five darts. Like most girls her age, she loves pretty much anything pink and/or purple, so the styling is perfect for her. The performance is impressive as well. It has a revolver style mechanism that doesn't seem to jam very often, and the range is good as well (enough to clear our basement at least). I bought her the Nerf Rebelle Bow as well, but she prefers this gun by a signifcant margin. Though he might not admit it publicaly, her 10 year old brother is a bit envious of this Nerf gun's performance, despite having several large N-Strike/N-Strike Elite of his own.

I bought this for my girlfriend so she can finally participate in the minor nerf battles that break out. She loves it. She can not stop gloating about how she has a better "cocker" then my Strongarm. She says it is easy to use, effective and quite powerful. She has now developed a game where every-time I annoy her, she puts a dart in the gun and spins it "Russian roulette style". She then fires at my face, if she hit the game resets, if not I get a pass, but the dart stays in the chamber. This means eventual I get shot in the face, Great fun! Since my purchase she has gone ahead and ordered the 75 pack of blue elite darts. She likes the new "rebelle" darts, but she said and I quote "that is way too expensive for foam darts, I can get 75 for the price of 12 of the fancy pants darts". The holster is great. It works on any type of pants, even the elastic sweat pants ot yoga pants women are so fond of. The glasses are gimmicky, but basically free.

So in our down time my boss and fellow coworker we will have nerf gun wars. I am new to the job and had no idea I would need one of these guns, so when gun fights break out I was always being attacked and all I could do was throw the darts back. So I finally bought the Rebelle gun, I wanted to get one that was as girly as I could get it(I'm the only women that works at this store). I read the reviews and I liked the looks of this gun. So I finally got it the other day, but I only got to use it today. I was worth every penny, my boss and I had a nerf gun war and my gun is better than his. I got him back today. This gun shoots very straight and many do the bullets fly. I got him from across our store while my bosses gun which is a small 3 shooter, only went about halfway.it was nice to finally get him back. Long story short I highly recommend this gun, you'll get accurate shots, and from a very long distance away.

Awesome blaster! It can be operated with one hand. The holster allows fast draws and the glasses are a great addition. My little girl loves it!

Acheté comme cadeau à ma nièce de 5 ans, je redoutais que l'arme soit trop compliquée à utiliser mais en 5min elle se l'est approprié. A chaque tir il faut armer le chien, ce qui demande pas mal de force, donc je déconseille au moins de 5ans. Les lunettes de protections sont bienvenues car la projectiles partent vite et loin et ça permet d'apprendre les basiques de la sécurité

Das gesamte Paket das geliefert wird ist Super. Meine Frau ist davon genauso begeistert wie ich. Die Schutzbrille ist Geschmackssache. Die Schussleistung ist sehr gut. Für größere Hände wie meine ist das einhändige Spannen kein Problem. Für Frauen mit nicht allzu Großen Händen und Kindern kann es vielleicht etwas schwer sein den Blaster einhändig zu spannen. Manko für mich, die Form des Griffes macht es für größere Hände unangenehm zu greifen. Der mitgelieferte Holster hält den Blaster recht gut in der Halterung auch beim Laufen fällt der Blaster nicht heraus. Für den heimischen Garten oder die Wohnung ein toller Blaster und das nicht nur für Mädchen.Der Blaster hat eine tolle Form, schöne Linien. Wie gesagt nur der Griff ist etwas ungünstig geworden. Alles in allem kann man eine Mega Kaufempfehlung aussprechen. Für das Geld ein tolles Paket.

Great set. Daughter finds the cocking mechanism a little bit hard as she doesn't have the hand span / strength to do it with her thumb like I do, but she can do it her own way. Seems pretty accurate. The end has come off one dart already but darts are easily replaced. She really likes the glasses and I like the idea of her not shooting herself in the eye. Overall really happy with this, great gun.
