I used the M6 size to remount a loose trim panel on my car, and the thread is perfectly clean and strong. They take a bit more force to 'crush' than the aluminium ones, but the result is a five-star, high-quality connection that will never rust or strip out. I bought this rivet nut kit to use on a car restoration project, as I needed a range of threaded inserts for different thicknesses of sheet metal. The variety in this set was what drew me in. It goes from M3 all the way up to M12, which gives a lot of flexibility for both light and heavy-duty tasks. The black zinc plating also seemed like a good choice to resist corrosion, especially since some of these are being used outdoors. The actual rivet nuts are solid. They feel heavy in the hand and the threads are well cut with no obvious burrs or rough spots. I’ve used several sizes already and they’ve gripped firmly into place with a proper tool. Once installed, they sit flush and hold their thread nicely even under a bit of torque. These are definitely not the flimsy kind that twist or deform as soon as you tighten something into them. Where this kit falls short is the storage box. It’s flimsy and the internal dividers don’t keep the sizes separated very well. The first time I picked it up, a bunch of the smaller sizes had already jumped compartments, so I had to spend a good bit of time sorting them out. It does the job but don’t expect the case to last long if you’re using this kit regularly. There’s also no size markings inside the lid or next to the compartments, so you either have to measure each one or just learn to identify them by eye, which isn’t ideal when you’re in the middle of a job. That said, for the price and the number of inserts included, it’s good value. You get a decent selection of each size and the rivet nuts themselves are reliable once installed. Just be prepared to upgrade the storage or label things properly if you want to keep it organised.

Purchased this to use in my Sprinter Van to hang some more anchor points and also to build out a bed in the rear cargo area. Everything came just as advertised in the product photos. Installed some M6 rivnuts already for anchor points and they are holding well. Used a rivnut gun from amazon for install and works great. Rivnuts install very tight and sturdy. Great product with a nice variety of Rivnuts to use for future projects! I will be updating more photos as my Sprinter bed build continues and also provide long term updates as I use more Rivnuts.
