It's a great concept.
It's a great concept... the mobile app needs some work but I really like the wireless system from Dimplex. I would recommend this to anyone looking to review baseboard heating.

Purchased in spring and by fall it had stopped working.
If I could give zero stars I would. We switched out our baseboard heaters for our 3100 sq foot house using dimplex CONNEX heaters so we could control them all on one. We bought the controller in April of this year at the tail end of winter and it worked great. Now we go to control it in the fall and the product stopped working. I think it’s the touch screen that is out since anything you try to do fails because it does not register the buttons being pushed. Customer service only open Monday through Friday for limited hours during the day. And they refused to replace the item. I’m sorry I ever went with this company.

Wi-Fi operation is hopeless and Tech support doesn't understand this product.

controls Dimplex Connex products
This really does work The negative reviews are due to the fact that it is not easy to set up. The instructions are not easy to follow and are a bit out of order, and the you-tube is not much better. BUT if one follows the instructions perfectly, then one ends with a product that works very well. It allows scheduling and temperature of several areas which then do create a toasty warm environment, but not overheated. The corresponding Dimplex baseboards are light weight and may look weak initially, but they do hold up and the prices are lower than many electric baseboards. The Connex feature itself is extremely handy.

I installed the Dimplex baseboard heaters two years ago while they look good, low profile, & produce good heat the wifi implementation is terrible & this controller is rubbish. Cheap touchscreen build & so unreliable. Communication with the heaters is hit & miss even after the awkward pairing method. Does not work behind any object, the temp sensors are inaccurate and the app crashes from time to time. The app features are ok but no simple all off setting and you need to press to down temp arrow to drop the temp to very low etc. I have had two controllers, the first one was a free replacement from Dimplex after convincing them on the phone for almost an hour that it did not work correctly. The replacement performs just as poorly. Customer service from Dimplex is condescending at best.

Avoid this one.
Drastically reduced RF range compared to the CX-MPC it replaced, even when placed closer to center of house to test, it wouldn't connect to the bedrooms with the doors closed. So bad I had to return to the CX-MPC. Touchscreen sensitivity got worse compared to CX-MPC. App is even worse than the touchscreen for programming, if you can believe it. There's no plans to fix the range issue or to offer home automation support for SmartThings/Homekit/Vera etc. CX-WIFI is sitting in my garage Junk. I wish I had gone with dumb heaters and something like a STZB402+ but is wasn't announced at the time.

Bad produce and customer support
Upgraded all of our heaters so we could control them like their you tube video..The app is garbage and constantly spits out errors. Touch screen sensitivity is garbage.STAY AWAY

Good idea but poor execution
Well, I should learn to trust other reviews as this product isn't rated very well in most forums and now I get to add mine to the low end of the scale. Much like the others before me, I find the item to be a poor performer when trying to link to wifi, so spent far too much effort trying to find a way to make it work.I did stumble across another comment about the battery backup being part of the problem, so out of frustration I opened the unit up and removed the battery and to my surprise it instantly synced with my phone app ... The only missing piece is I haven't had access to the heater to confirm it's actually working at that end so I'll have to maybe come back and update this.

hard to setup on wifi
same problems as previously mentioned; hard to setup on WIFI and the app could use a serious upgrade, but I eventually manage to make it work after numerous attempts.Not sure how I got it to work on my IPhone, but a key step involved rapidly switching from the IOS wifi connection setup (1st step) to the one on the app (2nd step) when trying to establish a connection to the device; this needs to be done before IOS shows a pop-up windows showing a successful connection...

Sorcery is required to get this thing running.
I believe that I have solved the problems with the setup of the CX-WIFI and the Android version of the App.1) Reset to factory settings on the controller - hold the SETUP control on the device for more than ten seconds - fifteen worked for me.2) Place device into SETUP mode by holding the PROG control for as long as it takes. When the mode changes you will know it and the discovery function in the App will work. You do this by pressing 'SCAN' at the bottom of the app screen.Trial and error defeated the poorly written manual.

Trouble Keeping Time
The clock on this product was inaccurate and it didn't keep time. Request for refund accepted immediately but took 2 months to get the refund money.
