256GB USB Flash Drive for Blink Sync Module 2 with Outlet Wall Mount(1Pack)

bought this mainly to use with my Blink system for local storage, and it has worked as expected so far. Setup was straightforward—just plug and go—and it was recognized right away without any issues. The fact that it’s a 2-pack made it a really good value since I was able to set up multiple devices without buying extra drives. Performance has been consistent for saving clips locally, and I haven’t run into any lag or disconnect problems. For the price, it feels like a practical and budget-friendly solution for expanding Blink storage. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done reliably.

Very reasonably priced! I wish I could just buy the flash drive and not the whole system.

I just got the Blink Add-On Sync Module 2 and this item. At first I was not able to get the videos to save to local storage, even after trying formatting it to both FAT32 and exFAT. Eventually I found a Reddit thread where someone said they were able to get it to work after contacting Blink customer support to update their firmware to 16.0.14, and that's when I noticed that the module I received was on version 15.9.16. Since there didn't seem to be a way to trigger a firmware update on my own (I tried variations of power cycling and holding down the reset button on the module), I called Blink technical phone support (which fortunately runs 24/7. You can find their contact info in the Blink app by navigating to Settings > Help > Contact Support > Call Tech Support). Once the firmware was updated to 16.0.14, videos saved to local storage correctly as expected. Only time will tell the quality of the USB drive and how long it lasts, but it seems to work well out of the box. Additionally, love the clean design and how simple/clean it looks and got it mostly for the mount. p.s. The sync module LED lights are so bright and visible all the way across the room and can be a bit annoying. Wish the kit included a black sticker to cover up the lights and tone them down a bit.

Install was fairly easy, so excited, we had it two weeks and it quit working. Tried to contact support and that was a waste of my time. Tried everything the help suggested. Finally deleted the entire system, and reinstalled everything didn’t work. Deleted everything again and even deleted and reinstalled the app. Still not working. Been a week now. The “free trial” ends soon. So nice of them, we won’t be subscribing. My husband and I both have wasted hours of our time with this thing, tried 50+ times to get this thing to work. It keeps telling us the internet password is wrong (it isn’t, all our other stuff is connected and works). Apparently ours is defective. Will update if I ever hear from support. Don’t waste your money. Update: did finally get it working with support, but still having issues with it not saving video. Purchased the plan and it is no longer an issue. I think it’s on purpose so you have to buy their plan. We still have issues with local storage not working more than 6 months after purchase.

This does what it supposed to do. I am very satisfied and would recommend. This definitely did not disappoint.

This is one of those items you won't appreicate how much you needed it until you have it. It fits the module perfectly and securely plugs into an outlet without blocking the other outlet. The usb drive storage is more than adequate for even the busiest cameras and it's easy to remove for additional backups. I appreciate that the clips are automatically backed up to the cloud, but I like having a backup of the backup, so having the thumb drive easily accessed for that is perfect. It's such a simple piece of clever plastic that I marvel at how creative people are. It provides exactly what is needed to put the module where it can be plugged into power and not one bit more. Neat, tidy, and totally suited to the task. Highly recommend.

This is definitely a must have product for your Sync Module 2 (SM2). The mount itself is made of very sturdy plastic that allows the SM2 to clip into it for a secured mount. The USB cord AC plug is the right size for this mount as there is no extra length needed to plug it into an outlet. Of note, the prongs that plug into the wall outlet passes through two slits in the SM2 mount which then allows you to plug it directly into the wall outlet. This is what holds the SM2 mount in place. Recommend plugging it into the top outlet of the two so that you would have the lower outlet available for other use. The additional 256GB memory stick is great for local storage of your Blink videos. Through the Blink app, you'll see that you could save off the video's to either the "Cloud" (paid service) or to the Local Storage (memory stick) which is free. The only drawback is Blink tells you that when accessing the "local storage," there is some time delay to access it and display it on your app. Otherwise, the size of 256GB is WAY more then enough storage for a three or five camera system. **TIP** Always plug your SM2 in an outlet that is not in a common area not normally seen but in an area close to your WiFi connection for better service. This is for security reasons. You'll understand if you really think about it.

Absolutely worthless. Typically not one to write reviews, with most things I expect to get what I pay for. With this, the initial buy in is expensive and there’s a monthly subscription with it prompting me to help someone make a decision on buying cameras so they don’t end up in my situation. In my experience, Blink worked well for a few months, synced well, gave me footage and had the occasional “lost connection” problems that comes with technology. The issue for me was when I was unable to reconnect my sync module to my cameras, nothing has changed, same wifi, same router, same location, same everything but all of a sudden it won’t connect. Called customer service, they had me do a bunch of resetting and call my internet provider (my internet works on everything else) my internet provider confirmed everything is working the way it should. Called blink again and the problem jumped around from my wifi (I assured them I called and talked with my internet provider) to the module not being updated correctly (well it won’t connect so how can I update it) back to the outlet not working (I’ve tried multiple plugs). After a long and frustrating phone call that included a language barrier because I’m speaking to someone on the other side of the world, they ended up telling me it’s an issue on my end and essentially refused to send a new module even though I tried everything and jumped through every request they made and everything else working the way it should. In short, save your money, buy something else, save yourself the head ache.

Confusing system with the Blink cameras the Blink Sync module 2 and the Blink sync coming with the cameras and the the storage system to use instead of cloud. The bracket for this does not fit Australian plugs so it’s useless. Overall impressed with the system and setup (guided through) was pretty easy once I realised it could be guided.

And for a piece of plastic, TO EXPENSIVE if it’s less than €10,- (without the USB stick) it would be OK.
