Great product and easy to use
As a relatively novice woodworker, I was not using any end grain sealer on pieces that I had cut that were green. Consequently, I was dealing with a lot of end grain "checking" or cracking. I got this and applied it to several pieces. It has only been a few weeks and they are still drying, but I can already see a big difference in less cracking on the ends. Clean up is a breeze. Very pleased.

Paint doesn’t adhere well
The product works in sealing the end grain of wood; however, when it dries it turns yellow and very waxy. I applied primer, then paint. After it dried, the paint was repelled by the wax and rubbed off. Does it seal end grain? Yes! Is it appropriate for painted wood projects? No! If you are putting a fence post into the ground, I’d recommend sealing the end grain with this sealer first. I used it on an outdoor painted wood project, my fault, not the product’s. Just beware, it doesn’t take paint. At least not for me.

As promised
I use end sealer on my deck furniture every year Product seems to work well and applied evenly. We’ll see in a few months but I have no reason to doubt the effectiveness of this product.
