Fabulous science kit!
Love this kit! So fun. I'm homeschooling my 3rd grader and we're always on the lookout for fun science things to do. This kit ticked all the boxes! Came with a great little book about the history and science of soap, very customizable and interactive. The gift box is a great idea. Pro tips: get yourself some essential oils and play around with different scents. Set up a double boiler on your stove(like you'd use for melting chocolate) then, you can keep the base warm while adding scents and colors. Just watch your kiddo around the hot steam. This is the second Nat. Get. kit that we've done(also did the volcano one) and we are not disappointed! Great fun. It does get a bit messy but, what good project doesn't? 😁

Not happy
I spent quite a bit of money on this thinking the molds would be for more than one use but to get the soap out of the molds it just ruins the plastic molds so they are a one use only item. Im not pleased with the fact that this item is a one use only item.

Color bleeds. Not usable as soap nor safe to play with.
Soaps were fun to make. I recommend a double boiler as described by other reviewers. They were difficult to remove from the stiff plastic molds and I expect molds will break on 2nd or 3rd use. (Directions say gently tap the back of the mold. That is so far from reality.) They look beautiful and my kids were excited to play with them. A major flaw is that every color bleeds. Even a soap made with a single drop of color transfers color to your hand immediately. I don't know if it stains and I don't intend to find out; some was still on my skin after multiple washes (with normal soap). I am not letting kids walk around with these and inevitably wiping color on walls and furniture. They are too risky to keep around at all. I can't believe they are advertised as a soap. Who washes with something that turns your skin blue?

Super fun and easy!
Bought this for the kids but I loved it too! The soap melts were excellent quality and we used other little molds to make a bunch of soaps! The mixing of the colors was awesome with the clear and the white !

Four Stars
Overall this project was a lot of fun and pretty easy to make. The one issue I had was keeping the melted soap in liquid form before adding it to the tray. Other than that the colors, smell, and use of the finished product was great.

Great SoapMaking Kit
While we haven’t tried it yet, we have opened the package and reviewed the contents and instructions. The soap is to be a Mother’s Day surprise, so we need an opportunity to make the soap when mother is not home. We are hopeful that it will be a great surprise!

fun
made with grand children. I think directions were very easy to follow. Only thing is need to microwave longer than directions say at least 13 sec. . The scent is very weak. but over all we had fun with the soap making.

Good Clean Fun
Pretty easy to make and fun to have for good clean fun! The “bars” are all unique and a good size.
