Great price and works with Siri
This is my first smart bulb and I’m impressed.I read many reviews and it seemed the number 1 bulb choice for Apple devices was Hue - but Hue bulbs are ridiculously expensive!Apple suggests Nanoleaf bulbs on their site, so I thought I’d give this a go. My main ‘wants’ were to control the light with my phone/Siri and to change the colour and dim the light. The bulb itself is pretty cool because it’s geometric. It screwed into my lamp perfectly. Installation was fairly simple - I did not download the app but used Home on my iPhone. You scan the QR code on the bulb and it links. I did have an issue where it said the bulb was already used in another home, but I reset the bulb and then it connected immediately. If you have this issue, to reset the bulb you have to turn the light off and on again, off for 3 seconds, on for a nanosecond, repeat 5 times until the bulb flashes red. There are better instructions online!Other reviewers said this bulb was slow to react, which I haven’t experienced. The light turns on and changes colour instantly when I control it manually on my phone via Home. It literally takes a nanosecond. The warm white/blue white/standard white settings are great. I personally prefer a warm white but it’s good to have the option, and the light is bright on 100% brightness. The coloured light isn’t as bright as the white light colours, but actually I don’t mind, because I only want to use a coloured light in the evening for mood lighting. Siri can change the colour for you, eg “hey Siri, turn the lamp red”.There are many other cool things you can do with this bulb, like setting up motion sensors so it turns on when you open doors and whatnot, which I don’t need, but sounds fun!I don’t have a HomePod or any sort of “hub” (not even an iPad) and it works perfectly. I will definitely be buying more of these bulbs, they are amazing for the price! For non Apple users, the bulb also works for Google and Amazon/Alexa.

Cheap smart bulbs
While there have been occasional issues with connection (could be the Wi-Fi or phone honestly) these bulbs are easy to use, work great and make your life easier

Works great with HomeKit
Purchased to use with HomeKit. Really easy to set up, colour range is vast, extremely bright when required. No noticeable lag when switching on and offI’m not keen on the look of them, too modern for me and my old cottage but I’m using them in lamps with large shades so they’re not visible. Would be good to get something with the same spec but a more traditional lookPrice is good for what you get, especially when compared to similar spec bulbs

Not as good as Nanoleaf's Shapes.
This is a cool looking light, even when it's off. It's got an unusual shape to the bulb. It's nice, but it's not quite as perfect as the other products Nanoleaf have done, like their Shapes series.Installing is super easy, it's no different from a normal E27 bulb. Screw it in, turn on the power, then open the app and add the light. With the app, you can do everything you'd expect. Changing the brightness, the colour, etc.I found that while using the phone to control the light, it was generally OK, but could be sluggish sometimes due to bluetooth, and this is really where I felt the light lost some points. The lack of WiFi means that you can't use the light directly on your network without a Thread border router like Nanoleaf shapes, or Apple Mini Speaker. I have border router mode active on my Nanoleaf Shapes, so I expected them to work pretty seamlessly with the bulb, but it wasn't as reliable as I'd hoped. Often I'd ask my smart speaker to control the light without success, and eventually ended up having to use the phone to do it. My friend has had much more success with it while using Apple home pod mini, so I guess there's some software improvements needing to be made. The bulb produces nice bright whites, and has some of the best cool to warm white options I've seen from this style of bulb. The colours are fairly accurate to what you request on the app, but they don't produce the same kind of brightness and saturation in colour mode as their Shapes counterparts do. I've seen a few bulbs of this kind that will produce a brighter and more saturated colour mode, but those often lack the white light performance that I've seen here on the Nanoleaf. So I guess the choice here is whether you are prioritising white's, or colours.I wish the light had WiFi, or Thread standards were a little better implemented within Alexa or Google Home, getting the smart functionality working would have been great. If you're a Home Pod mini user, this light should work great and integrate perfectly into your smart home, and I'd highly recommend it for those users. If the smart home stuff isn't such a priority for you, and you just want a good light that you can set on the app and leave it as is, this ticks the box for that too.

Bright and simple to use
A nice bulb which can easily light up a room, the Nanoleaf app is not the best however - you can easily use it with Apple Home without any additional hubs etc. Therefore you can easily control the lights with Siri or from your Apple devices control centre in seconds. I’m contemplating replacing all of my bulbs with these as they are so user friendly, programmable (you can use them to simulate the sunrise to wake up with) with plenty of colours to choose from!

Budget bulb?
I Really wanted to like this product but..Firstly the things I do like1: The look and feel of the product is quality which I expect from a good brand like nanoleaf2: Good packaging3: Circadian lighting, good range of white settingsNow the Negative1: Terrible Application and connection makes it almost unusable2: Inaccurate colours compared to lifx and hue3:Refuses to connect to GoogleIf you can live with these negatives then at price point worth, I also have the strip light which in my opinion is the superior product in every way but the application is again the biggest negative
