WAAAY better than expected
Let me start by saying that I bought this with my heart health in mind. That said, I was sorta terrified to actually consume the stuff. I finished all of my fish oil capsules before popping the top on this oil, and dragged my feet before committing to eating it. I need not have worried. The flavor is very mild, almost no odor, and if you like fish like I do, the flavor is actually quite pleasant. Oh, and no more fish burps. Go figure. I mixed these 3 bottles with a bottle of flaxseed oil to get an ideal mix of omega 3 fats, and take 2 tablespoons of the mix daily. I usually mix it with some olive oil and use it as an oil dip with bread (the olive oil was something I had already been doing regularly). Mixed this way, the fish flavor almost entirely disappears. Like I said, I bought this for my heart health. But, starting on this had an unintended and welcome side effect. I have long suffered from inflammatory bowel, and off and on I will have weeks-long bouts of diarrhea (sorry for the personal details here). I was going through such an episode when I started taking the cod liver oil and it had not responded to any of the probiotics or medications that usually help to stem the tide. But the day after I started taking this, the diarrhea just... stopped. And didn't come back. I knew that omega 3 was supposed to be good as an anti-inflammatory agent for the cardiovascular system, but it seems to work wonders for the gut, as well. No more cramps, no more feeling like I suddenly have to run for the bathroom. And I had been hitting the throne room (at speed) around 6+ times a day at the time. Now, you might be tempted to call it psychosomatic or a placebo effect. The only problem is that I never considered taking fish oil for my bowel troubles. After all, I had been taking the capsules before and they never had any effect on my belly problems. And I was worried that, if anything, taking big doses of a fish oil might make it worse. So, imagine my surprise! Plus, I just generally FEEL better. Now, that may be a placebo effect, but it's still true. There's some discussion of the quality of this product in the questions section over concerns about how it's processed or extracted. I can tell you that because of my personal experience with it, I am a believer in its quality. And though my experience may be anecdotal, the results were definitive enough for me that I would call them better than any scientific study could have predicted. Time will tell what effect it has on my cholesterol numbers, but I have a confidence in that outcome that I haven't had with just about anything else I've tried so far. I can say with absolute certainty that I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone.

Exemplary Cod Liver Oil!
💙This is a superior product. I have no connection to this company and I am giving a completely unbiased and extremely honest review!! *I have been taking Cod Liver Oil since I was a child in Britain (I am currently 66 years old)! My Mother used to give my siblings and I this each morning. It is such a fabulous product!! NOTE: There is a very damaging review on this site about this product… 😢 *I feel that I must inform other shoppers that I have just received my purchase of ‘3 x bottles of Carlyle Cod Liver Oil’ and… it is perfect! This unflavoured oil is clean, pure, clear, fabulous and I cannot say enough good things about this product’s taste (it is, just as it should be) utterly delicious!! *Like all fresh, excellent seafood should taste! 😊It has a perfect look, and there is no texture… it is a good colour, tastes great and is most definitely well worth every single penny!! *The price is outstandingly low and I have found no other cod liver oil product as good as this!💙 😊Thank you Carlyle Cod Liver Oil! Keep up the great work that your company is doing! I will always be a fan of your exemplary Cod Liver Oil… Thank you so much!!

Get Your Fish On!
I started using Carlyle Cod Liver Oil because of my knees. Last April 2019 my right knee went out on me and I started wearing compression sleeve braces on both knees for added support. I also started some physical therapy, learning some exercises that would help strengthen the muscles around the knees. Then in July, while on vacation in Long Beach WA., and sight seeing in Astoria Or. my knee went out again, real bad. My wife and I searched nearby stores and bought a cane so I could get around. By August my knees were better but still painful when walking or using the stairs. I had researched Cod Liver previously and it appeared to have a good number of benefits to using it so I thought, why not give it a try. The results have been amazing, I have been using it as directed for over 3 months now and am currently pain free in both knees and can go up and down stairs normally instead of one step at a time. When I take my C L Oil I call it "Getting My Fish On", I has a mild fishy ocean taste to it, that I come to like. It's like acquiring a taste for good Scotch Whiskey, at first it's tastes a bit odd but over time you acquire a taste and preference for it. Of course I'm Norwegian and Swede so when I Get My Fish On, I think of my roots and I feel good. I can't say for certain the C L oil is the reason my knees feel better now but since I haven't been keeping up on my physical therapy exercises I have to give it the credit for my knees feeling so good. In closing, if you have knee or other joint pain, give Carlyle Cod Liver Oil a try and "Get Your Fish On". Great price too!
