A warrior bound by duty. A sister caught in forbidden desire. In the Highlands, duty and desire rarely walk the same path. The three Macinnes sisters are well-known throughout the Highlands โ Heather for her beauty and kindness, Patience for her warriorโs skill, and Emma, the youngest, for the quiet knowledge that helps sustain their clan. When Heatherโs arranged marriage to Rogan of Clan MacClennan is meant to secure their future, danger strikes first. Heather is abducted. While Patience rides in search of her at once, Emma does what no one anticipates โ she braves a raging storm and rides alone to the MacClennan keep to demand that Rogan act. Nothing must delay him. Her sisterโs life depends on it. Rogan is stunned by the youngest Macinnes sisterโs boldness โ and angered by her accusation that he lacks courage. The storm is dangerous. His men are not yet gathered. Honor demands strategy, not recklessness. Emma refuses to wait. Determined to continue the search herself, she slips away in the night โ forcing Rogan to follow. Thrown together by danger, loyalty, and a search that will not wait, they soon discover that beneath their clashing wills lies an unexpected understandingโฆ and a growing desire neither intended. Rogan is pledged to marry Heather. Emma would never betray her sister. Yet even as the search continues, the bond forming between them becomes impossible to ignore. Duty brought them together. Love asks them to choose their own path. Review: Outstanding Story! - Through the forest appear the ghost warriors, were they come from and how they disappear into thin air no one knows. The Highlander's Stolen Heart is well-written, filled with a magnificent cast of characters, a strong plot that brings this read together perfectly and will keep you spellbound from the moment you begin the journey with Rogan and Emma until the very end. Heather, with her two sisters Patience an Emma are on their way to meet Heather's fiance Rogan MacClennan, when they are attacked by the Dark Dragon's ghost warriors and Heather is abducted. Emma rides through a rainstorm to the MacClennan keep to get Rogan a fierce brawny highland warrior to help Emma recue her sister Heather. Rogan wants to wait until morning but Emma has other plans! She sets off on her own during the night in nothing but her nightgown and Rogan's cape. Come morning when Rogan discovers Emma gone he swears as soon as he finds her he is going to send her right back home to her father! But again Emma has other plans and they are not to go home but find her sister. Sparks fly when Emma stubbornly refuses to follow Rogans "orders"! With Dark Dragon's evil web of mystery, violence, and danger, Rogan will fight to keep Emma safe. With their passions building in this heart pounding story full of drama, sizzling passion, action, trials and tribulations and while the suspense builds and tensions escalate and the twist and turns abound that makes this one outstanding story! Donna Fletcher has written one heart stopping novel that kept me turning the pages to the very end! I can not wait to read Highlander's Rebellious Love about Patience who is anything but patient! Review: Good - I loved the way this author built her story. The characters were amazing and believable. The book was well thought out and told with feeling for family and pride. I thought it was going to be Patience the Dragon wanted. Now I have another theory as to what is really going on. I think this next story will be about Patience's future and the 3rd will solve Heather mystery. I think they will all be good and look forward to reading them. I feel Heather's future happiness will come from out of her past and I want give anything else away. I love a good author and a well told mystery. I look forward to seeing if my suspicions will be right.

OOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Ok - so I love Donna Fletcher as it is - I have read sooo many of her romance novels. I must say that she keeps getting better and better and better. My favorite book she wrote was The Irish Devil..... but then there is the Highland Trilogy.............. oh but I can't forget Sexual Appetites of Vampires, well - I guess the list does go on. Back to this romance - there is absolutely NOTHING I can say bad about the characters or story. If you love strong, gorgeous, arrogant, possessive, sexy, protective, and couregeous highlanders and the sweet and strong heroines they fall in love with - then this is the book to read. Right now! I'm telling you! I won't get too much into the storyline because you just have to read it yourself, BUT - you have these three sisters who are very close and protective of eachother - all of which have completely different features and personalities. Our mouth-watering H has a contract to marry the oldest sister. The sisters are on their way to meet the H and his clan when one of the sisters is kidnapped by some unknown baddie (or is he?). The middle sister (who is a warrior in her right) takes some men and chases after her. The youngest races to the H and tries to get his help to rescue his betrothed. The desire and sparks fly the second they see eachother. She is stubborn and impatient and he is trying to keep calm and take charge like he usually does. Personalities clash, passion explodes, and tempers flare. LOVE IT! What I loved the most was how our H loves our h. DF is so descriptive with the surroundings that I felt like I was right there in the forest, racing after my sister, and loving my highlander. Of course they both fight their feelings and won't admit to the other or anyone else how much they completely in love with eachother they are, but don't worry - you don't have to wait too long before they succomb to their love. The villain is scary and dark and by the end of this book you still don't know why the sister was kidnapped, where to find his lair, or what happened to the middle sister. But - the HEA is so sweet and full of love that you feel complete with the relationship between them. I can't say enough how much I loved how our H loved our h and vice-versa. I also loved how there were not too many misunderstandings. Having too many misunderstandings and waiting until the last page of the book to hear the "I love you's" gets on my last nerve. In this book - you get your loving sooner and it's so wonderful. So - would I suggest you read this romance - OH YEAH! Right now! Go ahead and order and start your fantasy. And DF - if you read this - please, please, please let me have the next book as soon as possible. I need it! I HAVE to find out what happens next. Enjoy!

Fantastic Start To The Macinnes Sister's Trilogy
If I could give this 10 Stars, I would without hesitation! Rogan MacClennan and Emma Macinnes' story is such an exceptional start to Donna Fletcher's new Trilogy. Emma is the youngest of the Macinnes Sister. She is not as beautiful as her other two sisters, Patience and Heather. She feels she will never marry because she will never attract a man as her sisters do. She is on a journey with her sisters and their warriors to take Heather to wed for a clan alliance with clan MacClennan, for Heather is to marry Rogan MacClennan. She was supposed to have been the one to marry him, but they had rejected her because she is the "plain one". This of course had stung her at first, but she knew, because she was the plain sister, she would never wed. She was the sister that was extremely intelligent and willful in all things. Patience, her middle sister was a warrior herself and Heather was her older beautiful sister who had raised them after their mother's death. Rogan was the son of the Laird of clan MacClennan, he was finally going to have to do his duty of marrying for a clan alliance and securing an heir. His father had convinced him of marrying the most beautiful of the sisters instead of the plain sister and he had agreed. When he meets the "plain" sister, he discovers she is a hellion who calls him a coward in front of his clan. The sisters, his betrothed and their warriors had been set upon and attacked by the infamous ghost warriors of the Dark Dragon. He finds out from Emma that his betrothed has been taken and that the warrior sister, Patience has gone in search of them. He intends on rescuing his betrothed, but little did he know he would have to deal with the hellion during the rescue. Two willful and strong minded human beings will clash wits throughout, bringing on such intense passion. For Emma, this infuriating handsome warrior who is promised to her sister, will give her no peace. For Rogan, this hellion of a woman is going to drive him mad! I look forward to the next two books in The Macinnes Sister's Trilogy! This story is exceptional and I highly recommend it. Mystery, Passion and Intensity run rampant through this great story.

Feel like I read it before
This book reminded me of Isle of Lies a lot. The sisters = plain smart one (shes even taught by a monk) the spunky cute one and the beautiful kind one very much remind me of the three main women from Isle of Lies. Rogan the handsome 25 year old leader = Ian? The plot is okay and I do want to know more about the Dark Dragon but I feel the characters are recycled. While Isle of Lies is one of my favorite books this one I would have to give a 2.5. With that said I am looking forward to reading the Dark Dragons book out 2015 and Donna's upcoming viking searies.

Loved the characters and their angst!
The story kept me going till the end. I was a bit hesitant at first because I usually don't like triangles, but this really wasn't one. Technically, the betrothed pair had only met in childhood. Emma is a feisty, strong character, and Rogan is a well-written alpha. Their angst about their growing feelings puts enough of a halt between them to make you tear through the pages. The book has a series cliffhanger, but the main story is a complete HEA.

Good story...to be continued
I love Donna Fletcher...This was a great story...too bad I have to wait so long for the next one...and the next one...loved that the hero fell in love with the "plain" sister, even though she really wasn't..it's annoying when the heroine keeps wandering off alone after her sister is kidnapped, but she doesn't see the danger..especially in those times...the sex was great because they loved each other so much.. . if you don't mind waiting until the fall for the next one and 2015 for the last one then go ahead and purchase this one...it does not have an ending, I do wish I had read the other reviews and realized that BEFORE I purchased it...I prefer stand alone books.

WOW!!!
I am almost speechless, almost. Reading every word, turning each page had me thinking and guessing and the abduction still isn't solved and Heather is still missing. Within this book is great but mysterious battles with no rhythm or reason. The sisters in this book are courageous, strong, witty, intelligent, stubborn and loyal to the bone for family and clan. Heather is abducted by Ghost Warriors who belong to the Dark Dragon. Ghost Warriors who come from within the Forrest as in appear from tree trunks, bushes or ground and is very hard to fight in battle. I fell in love with Emma and Rogan and you will too. Emma is the youngest of he three sisters who is considered the plain one, but there's nothing plain about Emma, it's what's inside her the shines beyond beautiful. Next book is about Patience, but from what I understand she falls short on that, and her Mother named her Patience so to remind her of that quality..... This book is so gripping I have to read more, so it's off to read "Macinnes Sisters Trilogy Book 2. Happy Reading

Very good storyline
Book 1 of the " Macinnes Sisters Series ". All three sisters are on their way to meet Heather 's betrothed, Rogan MacClennan. Heather as the oldest has been asked by their father to do her duty and marry so that the clan will have a strong leader in case anything should happen to him, the clan chief. Emma, the youngest and considered the plain sister, has already been rejected by Rogan but travels to the clan by request to discuss and help with her knowledge of plants, farming, and healing. When the party is attacked and Heather is stolen, Emma must ride for help to the MacClennan Keep and convince Rogan to come to their aid. Not listening to Rogan, Emma leaves to find Heather on her own. I liked the closeness of the 3 sisters and Father. There was more than enough adventure and romance in this story and the characters were interesting but I don't like a book where you have to buy the next book to find out what happened. Other than that I liked this novel and I guess I will be reading the next 2 to find out what is going to happen.
