So far so good. Speaker arrived ahead of schedule. It was smaller than expected which is good for transporting but I figured sound would be compromised. Pairing was the easiest and fastest of any bluetooth decice I have tried. Unit feels sturdy and well put together. Sound is much fuller and louder than i was expecting. Only downside is the instructions are complete giberish. Dang near comical to read out loud. I understood enough to get it going. This speaker is a solid buy at this price.

Splash proof huh? Did not survive even one encounter with water. False advertising; garbage.

The sound is very disappointing. The controls are almost impossible to understand and the marks on the buttons are almost impossible to see. I am returning it. I would not recommend buying this product.

This speaker is awesome! I got it for my husband, who is very particular about speakers and he loves it.The sound is great. It gets plenty loud enough for me to hear with the shower on, and doesn't lose sound quality when at max volume.The Bluetooth range is great (It works with the phone one end of my house and the speaker on the other end, even with the walls and furniture in the way).I have not tested it's water resistance.My only complaint is that the manual does not match the Amazon description. It also is very poorly written. (The wording is awful).We have tried at least six Bluetooth speakers, (most of which I don't even remember the names of) and this is by far the best (especially for the price, even without the discount). It is significantly louder than the Oontz, but sound quality is comparable.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review.I will be buying another (at full price) for my brother.Update! 12/3/2016 Speaker still works with day one quality after being exposed to heavy dust, paint and several drops.

Great speaker so far. A little warning about setting it up though. It connected almost instantly and I was amazed, but then I couldn't get it to play sound. After a little bit of fiddling, I realized that you have to connect it via bluetooth twice. There are two different bluetooth connections with the same name. One is for output (speaker) for if you want to play music like I did and one is for input (microphone) for if you want to use the speaker as a phone. You have to connect both, then make sure that you select the right one when you choose the sound device (I've included snapshots to show you what I'm taking about). Anyway, it produces great sound and I really like the way that it looks (I've gotten really into gray lately). I'm not going to test it's waterproof capabilities by tossing it into water, but I'll see how it holds up to a summer with it on side of my pool. I'll update this review about if it holds up or breaks, either way.Update 07/01/16: I just wanted to add one tiny little thing that I don't like about it. The volume is a spinning dial that doesn't stop spinning either way. It doesn't alert you in anyway if you've reached the end of it's range or not, so you have no idea if it's at it's max volume or if you should keep on spinning. I have to keep on spinning it a bunch of times before I realize that it's not getting any louder and can stop. It's just a little quirk, but slightly annoying. It's still hands down the best one I've gotten and I've ordered quite a few lately trying to find one that works well, sounds great, is waterproof, and can still be heard over loud noises.
