This product works!

We had many scratches and a couple of gouges in our dishwasher front panel, after scraping off several magnets that had bonded to the panel. We used Barry's Scratch-B-Gone Homeowner Kit as directed, along with significant elbow grease, and were very pleased with the result. Although a few deep gouges remained, they are very hard to see, and almost all of the scratches are no longer visible. We had to finish the whole front of the dishwasher to make an even finish, and the overall finish lost some of it's original sheen, the end result looks great. It was expensive, but worth the cost.

This product really does work! But it requires a lot of work and patience of your end too. Some tips: 1. As you sand, make sure your strokes are as perfectly straight as possible. This will make it look more professional. 2. Don't be afraid to use the skinny strip of coarse sandpaper for deep scratches. I eventually learned to go straight to that one because my sink was deeply scratched pretty much everywhere (from a former owner). 3. Having said that however, take your time and be careful when using that strip on cheap sinks with thin stainless steel. Take it from me, if you press too hard, it will dent the sink. 4. After using the coarse sandpaper, I went over the sink again with the finer brown then gray pads, which seemed to smooth out the sanding lines and make it look shinier. It's a worthy endeavor, but don't expect a quick fix. The final product will reflect the time, patience and effort you put into it.
