I had a mini cooper and used the click and drive for years and later used the craven speed attachment when iPhones got bigger and no longer fit the original holder - which was fantastic. So when I got a Hyundai Elantra recently I needed to figure out what to do with my phone. Cravenspeed didn’t have something as simple as this orbibeiiodbhwve bought through them. Granted some say you don’t need to worry about your phone as the dash has a complete connect to it via Bluetooth and plugin. But I find it clunky if I need to check something more specific. So I came upon WixGear. The Elantra has a circle on the left side of the steering wheel. I thought it had something to do with the Wi-Fi but found out quickly, it’s just decoration. Odd but a perfect place to put the round WixGear. Reading the one star reviews, I hesitated but jumped off the cliff and bought. So glad I did. It works like the cravenspeed. The magnet is strong. People complaining are either using something other than a regular sized cell phone - it’s not made for a tablet - or they didn’t clean the area or something - because mine worked perfectly. You have to be careful when you pull off the adhesive backing. So you don’t rip off the adhesive rubber pad underneath it which is what sticks to your dash. That’s the only issue. But as soon as I saw that you had to be ginger with it - pulling off the paper layer first leaving the rubber adhesive intact, it’s clear sailing. It’s perfect. And I couldn’t be happier. The other complaints people stated about the magnet - you must attach the magnet between your cell phone and its case. NOT on the phone as some have stated which can ruin your phone if you use a magnetic charger. You will have to take your case off due to it having a magnet attached inside the case when you charge it on a magnet charger. Or it will damage your phone. Cravenspeed states this in their instructions so I was well aware of it for this kind of magnet attachment. Once you know that - you’ll be good. This is exactly what I wanted and needed. So I’m very pleased.

I absolutely love love this phone mount! This is my third car mount and it doesn't compare to any other clunky dashboard or air vent phone mount. I love the fact that my air vent is free and I don't have to constantly adjust the air direction or be afraid that I'm going to break the air vent while attaching and removing the mount. No hooks, no plastic, no removal. This mount was easy to install, simply peel, stick, and mount. It doesn't have to be removed, it doesn't obstruct the view and air flow, and most importantly it's almost invisible. It's flat and the phone doesn't stick out, it just sits flat on the mount. I didn't think that this would hold my phone in place while driving, but I'm simply impressed with design, functionality, and simplicity of use. It can be placed anywhere on the dashboard or side, it will still hold the phone in place. Another thing I really like is that I can simply touch it with the phone and the phone sticks to it. I can just turn the phone horizontally or vertically depending on the use (navigation, talking, music, etc.) and it stays in any direction. No holders or hooks in place and it's a one hand use. This mount freed up the space on my car console, it's much safer because it keeps the phone within the eye sight, it doesn't shake or make noise when driving, and you can simply forget that your phone is even there. I actually forgot to take my phone from the car several times, that's how invisible this mount is.I would never buy any other phone mount, and I highly recommend it. Update 2.27.17 It's been almost a year since I bought this phone holder. It's still going strong and I still love it. I actually bought another one for a family member because he liked it so much just seeing it in my car. One thing to clarify is that I'm not paid to review this item. While buying this a second time, I noticed a quite few reviews about magnet not being strong enough, sticky pad not sticky enough, phone falling off, etc.I have to say this, unless you are mounting a TV, a 10 pound phone, or some other "pad" product to it, this should hold your phone in place even with a thicker phone case. This is a phone mount and mounting anything else to it defeats it's purpose. As with any "sticky" tape, it's common sense that it should be placed on a smooth, clean and dry surface, otherwise it will not stick. Mine has been in place for almost a year, my phone has never fallen off of it, nor I had any issues with a sticky pad or magnet. It's an awesome product for a regular size phone. I still think it doesn't compare to any vent holder and I highly recommend it.

This is a dual review comparing the WizGear magnet mount and the Nekteck magnet mount. WizGear - Product comes with the magnet mount and adhesive on the back, a circle metal mount and rectangle metal mount, both with adhesive on the back as well. Also comes with a wet/dry wipe to clean the surface before you apply the adhesive magnet mount. Nekteck - Product comes with the same materials as mentioned in the WizGear. Comparison - The Nekteck adhesive on the magnet mount covers the whole mount, while the WizGear covers quite a bit less. (As you can see in the pictures) Both Nekteck and WizGear magnet mounts are practically identical in Depth and Diameter. The adhesive in the Nekteck "seemed" more sticky than the WizGear's adhesive. (Although I can't say for sure and did not do any scientific test or anything. This was just my observation as i pulled off the cover from the adhesive.) Both Nekteck and WizGear metal mounts are pretty much the same in size and adhesive. I used 1 Nekteck and 1 WizGear to mount my tablet with the rectangle plates. So if one fails that should give a bit more insight on which one works better. However for now, I recommend either product. Both are low profile and seem good quality. Although I will be ordering the Nekteck again and not the WizGear because of the Adhesive covering the whole magnet on the Nekteck. I will update my review if one of the mounts fail. Also its also worth noting that both these magnets are STRONG. I'm more worried about the adhesive coming loose than the magnet not being strong enough to hold the phone or tablet.

One of the best phone mounts available for sure! I would like to start by saying I did NOT receive this product as a discount, paid FULL PRICE for it, and have absolutely no regrets! got this for my wife as her car has neither bluetooth or GPS and she needed some sort of heads up display to get around. After looking everywhere for a practical phone mount, I saw something similar to this when I took a Lyft, and the driver was using one. I asked him all about it, and after finding out what it cost, I bought it in the car on my phone right next to him while he was driving! The application was simple. The product is quite small, but has a very powerful magnet, and fits on any flat surface. We put ours in our Jeep Compass between a couple of vents and it works perfectly. All you have to do to mount it is wipe down the surface with the included alcohol wipe, and stick the adhesive side of the magnet to the surface and you're done! We waited for a couple of hours before using it to make sure it properly set and wouldn't sag or move around. A week or so later, the magnet is still working great and has not slid or anything even in the over one-hundred degree heat of the California Central Valley! My wife has an iPhone and the mount works perfectly. I placed one of the metal shields that came with the magnet in her phone case and she can just throw it on the magnetic base and she's good to go. My phone, on the other hand, is not quite as ideal... I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 in a medium-sized case. The phone is rather large and heavy, ,so when I try to mount it, it slowly slides down. I think if I were to not have the magnet on the inside of the case it would work perfectly, but I would rather not have a metal plate on the back of my case! I give this product 4 stars instead of 5 simply because I expected the magnet to be ever so slightly stronger. My case is really not THAT thick and I feel like it shouldn't have a problem, but it does.. If you have an iPhone, or even a Galaxy S6 or something, it will work perfectly! But, if you have something along the lines of a Note 7, you might want to consider a clip-style mount where you do not have to deal with magnets.

LOVE THIS! I have an IPhone 7 Plus and was worried that it would fall because of the weight. Plus reading other reviews about this phone saying it didn’t grip well... honestly I didn’t have that problem and I am glad I tried this out! It’s truly amazing and finally found a good mount for an inexpensive price. I had issues with my car vent mounts. It just would not stay and kept falling. I have a Kia Sorento ex 4wd v6 2011- vent mounts did not work for my iPhone. I also recommend getting separate magnets if you have a pop socket like me. I stuck my Wizgear Magnet directly on the steering wheel of my F150 truck. Worked incredibly well the first few weeks But as I spun my steering wheel left and right while driving, the round disk started spinning as well. It turns out the magnet is part of a top disk that screws into a lower disk that in turn sticks to the surface where you place the Wizgear. By spinning the top disk back and forth, the threaded screw connection gradually deteriorates. The magnet, in the top disk is incredibly strong, and so my cell phone at first spun in complete sync with my steering wheel. But now my cell phone spins with the spinning top disk as I make left turns or right turns. So I'm going to try glueing the top disk to the bottom disk with Gorilla Glue. That should take care of it. Guess the manufacturer never thought of an application such as mine.

I bought this cell phone mount for an older smart phone I no longer use for calls. Since I get internet access through the wifi in my house, I mounted it on the wall in my bathroom to attach my phone so that I can listen to podcasts from Greg Laurie, and Focus on the family, etc, each morning. I also listen to Pandora at times, and I use it as an MP3 player to listen to songs I downloaded. I also will take the phone off the wall to use as a camera for spontaneous pictures of things like a beautiful sunrise or my cats or dog being cute. Smart phones are so versatile and fun, aren't they? At first I had an outer silicone case on the phone to protect the phone, but I think it reduced the magnetic strength, or made the phone too heavy for the magnetic disc, because it didn't hold the phone to the disc very well, so I removed it. When I first bought this mount holder, the tape attaching the magnetic disc to the wall lost its stickiness and it fell off the wall along with my attached phone while I was away for a weekend. Luckily the phone was not damaged. I wrote the seller, who sent me a different, stronger tape, to attach to the wall. It's been several weeks now, and it's still holding strong. I love this holder because it is out of sight behind the phone, not bulky, and the phone is easily removed and replaced. I have the phone positioned on the wall at eye level, next to a power outlet, where I plug in the phone charger cord to keep the phone constantly charged. The disc and magnets holding the phone are very strong. I was a little afraid the disc and magnets would affect the inner workings of the phone, but so far no problems. So that you have an idea of the size and weight of the phone I am using, it's a Nokia Lumina 521. You can look up the specs and compare it to your phone.

I bought the vent mount one a while ago and I love it. I bought this one to stick on the wall beside my bed so it can charge my phone without having to be wedged under my pillow. When not charging, the metal in the end of the charger sticks to the mount so it doesn't disappear down the side. Ideal product!
