The Vango Galaxy 300 tent was created for providing a larger living space whilst still being lightweight and packable. This tent is perfect when you need additional storage for large item such as bikes and perfect for everyone to huddle into when the weather isn't at its best. The sleeping compartment has been made lower to keep you feeling warmer and reduce pack size and weight.Made from ripstop Protex(R) 70 denier polyester, the flysheet boasts a 5000mm Hydrostatic Head so you are going to remain dry even in the heaviest of rain storms, whilst the strength of the tent is increased by the tension band system keeping the tents rigid shape and helps when changing winds are buffering the tent. The porch is large enough to stand in with diamond clear windows and skylights letting in as much natural light as possible. It also features a clip riser ground sheet for clean, dry ground underfoot. This tent is perfect for large groups of family and friends when storage space is so useful to have in and around.FeaturesLightweight 3 person tunnel tent with large porch Flysheet is made from ripstop Protex(R) 70 denier - which is waterproof and durable, with 5000mm hydrostatic head Breathable polyester innerTBS(R) II Tension Band System - Increases the tents performance in adverse weather conditions especially in strong winds, the bands brace the pole at 3 points and prevent sideways movement. Standing room porch makes this a great buy
The tent is big enough for me and the dog. Great porch area, being able to stand up and move about under cover is the bees. Room enough for a chair and table so you can sit back and relax. Easy enough for one to put up, suggest you practice first before venturing out as some of the poles can be a bit awkward to fit (watch the scouts video). Stable and waterproof, ideal for the Scottish weather. WHAT DOES THE DOG THINK, HE WOOFS IT.

Outstanding
Although a little on the large size. This tent is just what I needed. I'm a biker and it's so much easier to have the head room at the front to be able to store/ dry and dress all my gear whilst standing.

Illogical instructions
The tent arrived punctually, as promised. When I first pitched the tent, in the back garden, I was confused by the instructions. They said I was to peg the pole end bases down with the connecting tapes held out by the poles’ inherent tendency to try to straighten. Then I was told to peg out the porch groundsheet. This means dragging the inner tent over the, already installed, porch groundsheet, thereby dragging any mud across it as well. I find this illogical, and prefer to install the inner tent first as per other tents! Pegging the pole bases also complicates straightening the two bathtub groundsheets. The groundsheet material feels flimsy, compared to similar tents, so be prepared to add some extra lining, in the form of rugs or tarps, to protect these.

Annoyed more than anything
This is a great tent but carries a design flaw that really wont hold water literally. Great that one can stand up and dress and do whatever it is you need to do standing but tent itself cannot be pulled taught at the front opening. Also the footwell in the porch area goes too far out under the tent to allow any hope of staying dry in heavy rain. Ok the good, its a great tent. I tend to form relationships with tents had loads down the years, good colour in all climates, light green, ample space for me and motorcycle panniers and all the gear. Really like it, easy pitch and the question all you guys want answered is can you take it all down together rather than removing the footwell and inner tent and the answer is yes just dont ever do that when the tents wet for obvious reasons. pitch it alone in 20 mins easy. Shes a keeper but not without her problems a bit like my old bike

Happy
Couldn’t be happier. Have used it thrice over summer and autumn and the fabric happily kept out wind and rain. We live in Scotland and this durability was an important factor for us when we decided to buy the Galaxy 300.

A large tent ideal for motorcycle touring
A great tent for those who want a large compact tent for a motorcycle tour. Quality built and is great value for money.

2/3 man tent with standing room
Great tent plenty of headroom. Really good for two with the extra room. Only gripe is that the front sides are a little loose and could allow rain in if not pegged out fully.
