Great book walks you through IPA using it to help with my social science PhD. The book starts with a short introduction and then moves on to explaining the history of IPA which include the key theorist of IPA and explains 3 key area of IPA I like the way the book breaks things down it is very clear to read and understand still reading but very glad I bought this book it is going to help a lot with understanding in detail one of the net vids I am using for analysing my qualitative data. The book is also very good if you want a guide and to check you are doing the method correctly exspecially if you have already started the analysis wish I bought this ages ago great buy and will also come in handy later on in my career vey very helpful book

The book is very user friendly. It does a nice job breaking down a tricky research approach.

Ich habe dieses Buch benutzt um, im Rahmen meiner Master-Thesis im Bereich der Psychologie, verschiedene Interviews auszuwerten und miteinander vergleichen zu können.Das Buch ist gut strukturiert und die Methode wird klar und durch verschiedene Beispiele erläutert. Obwohl die englische Sprache nicht unbedingt zu meinen Stärken gehört, stellte dies in diesem Fall kein größeres Problem dar.Fazit : Für mich war dieses Buch sehr hilfreich und ich empfehle es jedem weiter, der sich mit IPA auseinandersetzen muss !

Excellently written explaining all subtleties with suitable illustrationd.Socio psychological as also economic and political phenomena can be better understood following the approach detailed in this book. The books fills a huge gap in the literature on qualitative research methodology.

It gives a good explanation of IPA with clear examples. Good to read if you are studying qualitative methods in psychology. Qualitative methods are hard and subjective anyway, so Good luck with the subject as you will need it, with and without the book.
