I just finished reading 'Punk 57' This book takes you on an intense journey through the lives of Misha and Ryen, two high school students who form an extraordinary connection through a penpal project. It challenges the norms of teenage romance and explores the power of authenticity and identity. I couldn't put it down! If you enjoy reading love stories that are rebellious, passionate, and keep you on the edge of your seat, then 'Punk 57' is a book you won't want to miss.

Punk 57 is a gripping, fastโpaced romance that delivers all the angst and chemistry Penelope Douglas is known for. The dynamic between Misha and Ryen is messy, emotional, and full of tension in a way that keeps you turning pages long past when you meant to stop. Both characters are flawed, and the story leans into thatโmaking their growth and connection feel earned. This edition looks great in person. The bold, graffitiโstyle cover matches the bookโs rebellious tone, and the exclusive bonus material is a nice extra for fans. The writing is sharp, the pacing is quick, and the emotional stakes stay high throughout. If you enjoy intense, characterโdriven romance with darker edges and plenty of drama, this is a standout read. Itโs not a soft love story, but it is a compelling one.

Punk 57 is the kind of book that sticks with you even as the years go by. Itโs a beautiful, steamy, thought provoking story with intricate twists and turns that I doubt youโll see coming. Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas is a standalone bully/ enemies to lovers romance that is written in dual POV and follows the story of Ryen and her pen pal of many years Misha. It isnโt your typical enemies to lovers read, I wonโt tell you why and give away spoilers. However, I will say itโs complex, the concepts are so unique, and there is a message in this book that will resonate with a lot of people. The heroine, Ryen in this book isnโt the easiest to like. Ryen strives to be accepted and in doing so she alters who she is and her opinions to fit in. She tears others down so she can keep the negative attention off herself. But the more she tears others down the more she begins to break inside. Unlike Ryen, the hero Misha doesnโt care if he fits in and even if he does care deep down, he isnโt willing to change who he is or his opinions to fit in. It was amazing to see the two leads interact and see Ryenโs character slowly change.
