Good Idea But....
I saw this and thought what a great idea for my sump pump discharge line if pump needs replacement. I only wish it said it online that it states in the directions that it is only good for 3 times to open and close. Not everyone reads directions so someone can have a leak if they use it like I plan on using it and come my third sump replacement. Yes that is probably 10 or more years but I probably would have gone with something else. But great idea just wish it lasted no matter how many times. Figured to test first uses one time.

Fastest way to finish my overflow drain
This connector was great. A true plug-n-play plumbing solution. Can only be used in non-pressurized plumbing environments (Drain, Waste, venting). Will buy again when needed.

Total bust
This product was a total bust for me. I was attempting to join two pipes in a moderately awkward place to reach. I prepped the pipe ends very carefully with sanding, soaped the surfaces as shown in the instructions, and tried hard to keep the fittings straight when I inserted. But it still snagged the rubber gasket on one side, and even snagged part of the metal ring that keeps the rubber gasket in place on the other side. For the first issue, I could look inside to see there was a problem, and I could fix it. But for the second one, I just had to notice that it was hard to push in at some point, so I pulled it open to see the mangled metal ring. I couldn't fix this, so I threw the coupler away and got a normal one with primer and cement.

Worked great for my application
Used for an air vent and work great. Not sure how it would work in a water application

Worked well
Great product. Had to repair a leak in my garage coming from the upstairs bathroom. This made it easy not having to use PVC cement.

Failed me...or I failed it. Quite simply, it leaks.
I had a leak between the first and second floors in the space betwen the floors. Luckily, the leak was from a bathtub which happened to be over the garage. Working alone, I struggled for several days to take all the waste water PVC out and connect overflow and drain back to the main line. I used mostly PVC, gluing it up as normal. The Connectite straight fitting I used between the overfow and the drain seemed to work fine as I wrestled fixing leaks in the overflow, the drain connecting to the tub and a union between the old downline line and the newly installed drain and p-trap. I filled the tub to overflowing several times. No leaks. I then decided a real life test was in order. I filled the 5 foot tub and climbed in, with water flowing thru the overflow. I dried off, dressed and went to see if there were any leaks. Only 1. Water dripping from the bottom connect of the Connectite. Whether a faulty Connectite or a poor installation, the same applies: I will never use a Connectite again. Now I have to figure out the best way to get out and replace it with glued up PVC.

I am sure most inspection departments are going to make these fittings. 🚫
Least little movement causes these fittings to leak and they do not seal or hold tight at all.Total junk don't waste your money.
