LIELONGREN [Newer] USB Computer Speaker for Desktop, Laptop Speaker, PC Speaker, Small Computer Soundbar with Hi-Quality Sound, Loud Control Volume, Rich Bass

Very impressive for such a small speaker. I should've bought one of these many years ago! I bought this mainly to fix an older Toshiba Laptop I have running Windows 10, in which the right speaker was failing and distorting. I knew it would be difficult to find parts for this older Laptop, but then the idea of using an external speaker came to mind. This was such a simple plug and play install, nothing else needed to be done with software settings-etc. I have the use of volume control at both the speaker, and the Laptop's Keyboard. About the only minor dislike at first was that the Mute Button didn't seem to function on the speaker, but I could mute at the Keyboard still. A half hour later, the Mute Button on the Speaker then worked, and a little red light illuminates when muted. Beautiful. I also tried it on my newer Lenovo Laptop also running Window 10, and couldn't be happier! Score! The sound is much improved, much, clearer with much better fidelity for music, and can be set to be considerably louder than any Laptop I've ever owned, bass response is much improved, and is very good for it's very small size I thought. It seems to be a solidly built Speaker with some weight, not plastic, appears to be a metal case and steel mesh front grill. To also be noted, this external speaker has 2 different sized USB Jacks available, a standard and a smaller one for greater versatility for various devices. I notice on the bottom of the speaker, there appears to be 2 peel and stick pads which apparently will let you attach-secure this speaker wherever you may want it. I'm extremely happy with this purchase, I should've bought something like this small speaker years ago.

So, I was in a bit of a spot. The new gaming monitor that I purchased that promised me it had built-in speakers didn't. (They lied to me lol). I wanted to get something for sound, but I did have one requirement: I wanted it to run on USB only for both audio and power. And here we find this fantastic little soundbar. While fulfilling the requirement of only using a single USB cable connection for sound and power, they also are REALLY good sounding for a budget setup. They passed the Australian Audio Stress Test (see the video, if you know you know). I've also ran some bass-heavy songs from S3RL thru them and the bass will actually cause a bit of a rumble when you have them running at 100. They look really unassuming but I will admit this thing is definitely going to be a keeper for me. I was really surprised by how it sounds from such a small footprint. I love the fact it sits right under my monitor and can slam out some banger audio for a great budget price. The little touch buttons on the top are a neat feature function, though I probably will just run my audio adjustments thru Windows itself but it is a nice to have feature. Overall? Definitely would recommend.

Took it out of the box and it worked perfectly ony Windows computer with no setup required. Positives: small size, easy to use mute, up and down volume, good sound (voices only - I don't listen to music. Negatives: No on/off button (only mute). Don't like the USB-3 cable - I wish I could plug my own USB cable into the box.

I think this is a great USB speaker, and a great value at this price. It sounds so much better than speakers built into monitors. Another plus is that it doesn't require an external power source, so you don't have that to deal with. It is just plug and play, without the need for extra drivers. Windows recognizes the speaker immediately when you plug it in, so it couldn't be simpler The volume is good for normal use, and the audio quality is not tinny. I position the speaker right under my monitor so the sound seems to come naturally from people when playing videos. I have been very pleased with and would buy again if needed.

This is perfect for what was needed. Speaker for zoom calls and any audio needed while working. I didn't anything with bells or whistles. I plugged it in and it comes on with I start my computer and works perfectly.

4th: To be fair, something might be wrong with my desktop computer's USB ports. When I connect my phone to my computer through USB, it often shuts down randomly. I tested the speaker before using my laptop and it worked (20 mins of testing). But this is a tricky issue to find since my mouse, keyboard, printers, etc, are all functional. Due to this user issue, I will increase my rating to a 3/5 since I tried different USB ports on my desktop and it still doesn't work well and the audio does occasionally cuts like half a second during my laptop testing. I have already returned this product thru Amazon and have ordered another speaker that uses the 3.5mm audio jack. 3rd Update: Connecting the USB to the front did not fix the issue. I don't use my laptop often so this speaker is no longer needed. I tried contacting their support for help (edit: they did respond back on Feb 28) but I am still waiting for their response. I contacted Amazon support and will be returning this product. 2nd Update: I connected the USB to the front slots of my desktop and it seemed to have alleviated the issue. Will keep this updated if anything changes. I like the sound quality and the power it gives. The manufacturer does include an 18-month warranty but hopefully I won’t have to use it. Update: Works on my laptop, audio cuts off on my older desktop When I plugged this speaker into my Dell desktop and played a 15 minute song, not ten minutes later, the sound stopped playing. I did some troubleshooting and found that other apps that require sound also malfunctioned, like YouTube videos. I tried updating my device drivers, restarting, disabling audio enchantments, and looked for help online. The only way for me to continue with the song is to manually pause or stop it and then play it again. My desktop is about ten years old but my USB is 2.0. I had the same issue with another mouse that worked only intermittently so the issue could be with my USB ports or drivers due to its age (but my Logitech mouse worked perfectly fine). I also tested this on my 2018 or so HP laptop and it worked. I played the same 15 minute clip and it played it all the way. The only thing I’ve noticed is from time to time, the audio would cut off briefly for half a second or so and then continue playing again. I find it odd but then when I touched my laptop with static electricity the same phenomenon would happen. I used the VLC media player for both tests. Other then that, the sound quality and power is good. The speaker is powerful for its size. For stability, I would prefer getting audio speakers that does NOT use USB for either sound input or power and rely on the tried-but-true 3.5mm audio jack and AC power from the outlet. Received and used this speaker right away. I'm using this on my desktop computer and the cord is sufficiently long enough to each the back of my USB port. Installation is simple, plug and play. Volume up and down buttons modify Windows volume. I like how just one cable provides both the audio AND sound. At 8 watts, this speaker is overpowered for its size. At 60% volume it is enough to fill my large room. The sound quality is good.

So pleasantly surprised by the quality of this inexpensive, small and easy to use speaker system. Installation took 2 minutes and results were immediate. If you are not someone who needs to capture all the highs and lows in the recording, this little system is more than adequate. Very clear sound, small in size, plenty of volume.

I have been using a JBL speaker with my computer because it's what I had. It had to be powered by a USB and connected with a headphone cord. Two things I hated about this setup: 1. the JBL turned off by itself after inactivity. 2. It didn't work well with my USB switcher when I needed to switch what computer everything was connected to. This speaker solves both problems and requires no setup other than specifying to use this speaker in your settings. No more are the days of not hearing Teams calls coming in or alerts on my computer because the speaker turned off and I had no idea. I love that it's 100% USB and doesn't require a headphone jack to connect. I love that this doesn't turn off. It's always on. I don't have to think about it. Though this could be a downside for those who work on laptops without always being plugged into a main power source. I love that it's slim and non-obtrusive on my desk. I hate a cluttered desk. I barely notice this thing is there. I love the touch tap buttons on the top. It's one of the features I loved about my JBL. Having the volume buttons on the device itself allow me to quickly turn up, down, or even mute. No having to fumble with my mouse and find the computer's sound control. I love that there is a red light that appears and stays on when you mute. It's very easy to see if I forgot to unmute (for example, when I'm in a work call and a get a call from my kids' school and need to mute my mic and my speakers so I can hear on my personal phone) As for sound quality. It's good enough. My sirius XM music sounds just fine. It's not a robust or surround sound by any means. But it sounds good enough for the music I play when I'm in deep focus mode. I am hard of hearing and wear hearing aids. This speaker can get quite loud. I have no complaints. Great little speaker for work for a great little price. It's exactly what I was looking for.

A good quality speaker with a small footprint but has very reasonable sound quality for its size. Its robust and well finished with good volume control buttons( + and -) and a very useful mute button. Plays everything well without any noticeable distortion. Good value for money

I bought the speaker to supplement the laptop speakers. In fact I have two laptops so I can plug this in to either of them. It works perfectly and the sound is fine. I am no sound expert, I just wanted to be able to hear streamed shows on the laptop without straining. I chose the '55' model as I want to be able to use the buttons to change the volume. They work well. Just tried the X button, it's a mute toggle. Handy.
