I have been slowly transitioning my soups/leftovers that I froze previously in flattened ziplock bags to these freezing trays and I love them! So much neater and consistent in portion sizing. These work well and clean easily. Everything freezes in perfect rectangular shapes- much like a brick- are easily removed, switched over to ziplock bags and now stack much nicer in the freezer. I wash the base in the top rack of the dishwasher, but have been washing the lids by hand because I’m not sure what is recommended. When putting them into the freezer initially I place the freezing tray onto a small baking tray to keep the consistent shape. A tip: because the tray is silicon, if you set it in the freezer on top of other misshapen items it will not hold its tidy shape. Glad I made the purchase.

Rather than store homemade broth in jars in the freezer, I bought this for ease of thawing. With jars you have to slowly thaw the frozen liquid before using, and often my mason jars would break in the process. With the silicone molds, I can easily remove portioned out blocks of broths and thaw them right in the pot, saving me soooo much time and headache. I bought four trays so that I could freeze big batches of bone broth, then transfer the frozen bricks to freezer bags for even easier access. We’ve also used these for chili and soups, which worked equally well. I love that each mold makes a 1 cup brick or a half cup, tho I never find myself freezing them as less than a cup serving. They’re very easy to pop out, don’t collapse when filling, and are very sturdy when transferring from the counter to the freezer. Love these things so much!

These cubes are the perfect size for a single serving, and I use them for soups, rice, sauces, and more. I love that they’re made of silicone, so they’re non-toxic and safe to use. And once the food is frozen, it’s really easy to pop out the cubes by pushing from the bottom, super convenient for meal prep! I freeze most of my leftovers, so these have been a game-changer. The only thing to note is that strongly scented foods can leave a temporary odor in the silicone. For example, I froze a curry dish and it smelled like curry for a few weeks, even after multiple washes :/ but it eventually went back to normal. Overall, I’m really happy with these and would highly recommend them for anyone who freezes leftovers or meal preps regularly.

I typically make 2-3 gallons of stock each month, and wasn't keen on paying the high price of the "other" cubes. Since I have been using the silicone cupcake pans to freeze my broth (yeah, 3 gallons in cupcake pans takes a lot of time) - it's time to expand the operation! I bought two sets of these (total of four trays) Frozen my first batch, they've been through the dishwasher twice - they're thicker than my silicone cupcake trays - but they're not thick enough that they don't flex somewhat when filled with liquid. If you're filling these with liquid, you'll want them on a pan, i.e. a cookie sheet, when freezing. If you stack two - the bottom flexes a bit, i.e. it pooches out under the weight of the one above it - and I'm not terribly thrilled about that detail. (Think in terms of when you sit a filled water balloon on a flat surface - how it spreads - these expand a bit under weight - nothing dramatic). I stacked mine - 2 per stack, on 1/4 sheet pans in the freezer. I would NOT stack more than 2. Good value for the $$, they went through the dishwasher w/no issue, and they're a nice bright melon color. The frozen 1cup "bars" were easily removed, and 8 of them fit perfectly in a 1 gallon ziploc freezer bag. :) The lids are awesome - fit tight.

These are perfect for a fabulous quick meal. You can make a very large batch of your favorite or any diet plan, freeze the right portion and stay on your diet. Great when you are too busy/tired/hungry etc, Food pops out of container easily. Got the first set as a gift then purchased more. We call it block soup for dinner. With multiple containers, you can curate many different meals. Highly recommend.
