Can these be used in a microincinerator instead of using flame sterilizing technique?

Yes they can. The only problem I have had is students leaving them in the incinerator too long and consequently melting the handle. Other than one handle melting, this product has held up to 192 students using them for 3 weeks so far.

How long are these loops and will they withstand temps of up to 1900 degrees, asking as a ceramicist looking for bargain nichrome rods.

I honestly don't know. Microbiology class taught us to heat with a bunson burner until it glows red and count 8 to 10 seconds. I do not know the temp, or how long it could withstand that though.
