One Way Anchor Vises make creating high tension wire applications quicker and easier than all other methods. Just drill a hole through the end post (you can use a 1/2" drill bit, and a spade or auger bit works best). Pull the wire through, attach the wire vise, tap it into the hole, insert the screws and you're done! The most recommended and most popular gauge wire for creating vineyard trellis systems is 12.5 gauge high tensile wire. It's easier to work with than 8-10 gauge wire and provides the perfect amount of support for vine growing. The recommended gauge for Cordon wires is 12.5 gauge while 14 gauge us used commonly for drip and catch wires. NOTE: The higher the gauge, the thinner or more narrow the wire. Various fruits and vegetables that can be grown with trellis systems using wirevises are tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, peppers, baby pumpkins, summer squash of all types, small melons, grapes, raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries, passion fruit, kiwi, and even hops. Trellises with wirevises can be used with the Mittleider gardening method both indoors and out. You’ll definitely need ties and/or slings for heavier fruits and veggies. Annual flowering vines that are easy to grow from seed and would do well using the wirevise trellis system include evening-flowering moonflowers, climbing hydrangea, bougainvillea, sweet autumn clematis, moonflower, coral honeysuckle, morning glories, hyacinth bean vines, climbing nasturtiums, and sweet peas for early spring and summer bloom. One Way Wire Vises have endless possibilities of applications to be used with. They're easy to install, easy to tighten and will last for several years.

I used these to today to put up my Grape trellis. Just drilled a hole in the 6x6, put in the anchor and screwed it down. I ran the wire through it and everything went well. My only complaint is that I used the Fi-Shock 400-399 Heavy Duty In-Line Strainer to tighten it up. I had it very tight and when I let the strainer go the Anchor Vises must have let some of the wire go back through because it was not nearly as tight as when I had the strainer attached to the end. No big deal as I am going to put earth anchors in the ground and have the strainer attached so it will have constant pressure and I can tighten it up as the grapes get heavier.

Used this to set up a grape trellis. I was able to really tighten up the solid wire. I mounted it on a 6x6 post and it worked like a champ.

Super price and very fast delivery. I ordered them over Memorial day weekend and they were in my mailbox on Tue. These are great for my back yard grape vine I am building. The screws were a bonus. Thanks again.
