Perfect replacement set for my match containers
These boxes of emergency matches are in a paper box which is of course not waterproof, but just to be safe they wrapped the matches very well in plastic and even added additional replacement striker pieces for my old UCO containers. This makes it quite affordable to replace these matches. One word about these matches - they are water proof emergency matches. If you light one - you will not blow it out. You will not get it to go out under running water unless you completely engulf it. I had some old matches and wanted to test to see if those were still good after many years. It was kind of a Mythbusters moment as I didn't want to let it completely burn at my kitchen sink. Running water took some time to get it out lol. Another note: A long stroke along the striker paper will only ruin your striker paper quickly. A quick, solid, deliberate strike sideways across the paper will be enough to light one of these matches. The wax (or whatever coating) will just ruin the surface where struck, so a smaller area of strike will make the paper last longer.

Long burn time
I have use these matches for years.. never have a problem. I live off grid in alaska and have many types of fire starting options. However i keep 50 of these matchesbin my rucksack. Ferro rods are useful but these matches are a no brainer. Fast and easy to use. I highly recommend these. I fo prefer the Titans as they burn a long while. I usually include 3or four guitar pics in fire lay. They are cellulose and burn very hot and dry damp wood. Combine these and UCO Titans and fire is a sure thing.

Great matches
These work very well. We buy these to make our fire kits. They work great out in the damp weather and they burn a little longer!

Really Work, i mean it really they do!!
these matches really do work. soaked a match in water for a few mins, padded it dry then struck the stricker surface, it lit. cant blow it out with your breath or a strong wind. dipped it in sand, mud and dirt when lit, it stayed burning. really great matches to have on hand. the burn time is accurate and consistant. the Titan ones burn just same way as these do and are larger and longer. i have a few boxes of them as well.
