The 683 does not appear to have that, only HDMI out. **Q: What's the difference between this and the 679? all inputs hdmi 2.0?** A: Biggest differences are the phono input and support of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Additionally, the 681 includes HDMI version 2.0a chipset versus 2.0 chipset in the 679. In theory, you may keep up with future firmware updates for longer.Download the phone app to control these units or buy a programmable remote. The included remote is not so great. **Q: Will this unit play the same output on zone 1 & 2?** A: Same output but NO tone control. Sounds flat. **Q: are the subwoofer crossovers individual for each channel or global (one setting for all channels)?** A: With one subwoofer plugged in, SubWoofer Trim (on Options submenu) is + or - 6 dB in half dB increments, so I would assume one or two connected SWs would be trimmed together by this control. The amount of deep bass comfortable to the listener's hearing is what is apparently affected by this control. (each.5 dB change is quite noticeable with my one 12" SW in the medium sized room where I listen.) (The one SW is more bass than I need, especially at low volumes, so I'm glad for the trim adjustment so I don't have to crawl behind equipment to adjust SW bass for smooth jazz, baroque, action movie bass offerings.) ( mine is a "bright" room, (an 8" SW is enough.))
