Great product and stronger than OEM
I bought these for my dad as a Christmas present for his 2005 350Z. His rear hatch support had apparently been out for a couple of years and never told anyone. He told me that the dealership wanted over $200 to change these out in which I looked up after market products that would replace these and was pleased at the significant price difference. At installation, when taking the old ones of and comparing to the new ones, I got a little concerned at the size difference between the OEM product and this product. However, so far they have held up to the task and are stronger than the original OEM ones. Installation was fairly easy except getting the clip off of the bracket and ball joint, which requires a small flat head. A tip is give is when attaching this to attach the brackets first and the clip back on then attach the first bracket to the body before attaching the bracket to the hatch. I did this so that if the boots fell off before tightening, the hydraulic hinge wouldn't shoot out and scratch up the paint on the exterior body above the tire/wheel well area.

Right fit with power
These fit my 04 350Z without much issue. They are powerful and easily keep the trunk open. The only issue is that the metal band that holds the ball joint in place (there are 4 total) was loose on one of them. This caused it to pop out of place when shutting the trunk. I bent it back with pliers so now it fits fine. Good cheap solution if your trunk struts are worn out. Pro tip - I used golf clubs to hold the trunk open. Worked beautifully.

Wouldn’t recommend
Did not fit my 06 350z well at all, kept popping off the top ball. The angle of the geometry doesn’t even seem to fit. Now one of them is completely broken.

these did not fit hard top base coupe correctly
2004 Nissan 350 z base coupe hardtop, bolted on but they are not angled right on the end that attaches to the hatch. preventing the hatch from closing correctly and popping off every couple of opening and closing of the hatch compared them to the oem and you can see a slight angle on the oem that these don't have.

Decent for the cost. Be mindful when opening.
Good for the cost. Like others have mentioned - one of the top ball socket popped out within 5 open/closes. Readjusted to try and secure the ball in more effectively. We’ll see how it holds up in the long run. Might just need to be mindful when opening the hatch and guide it up so it doesn’t open so forceful causing the socket to pop out.

Recommended Purchase
Worked good, easy to install, little strong, once hatch is on up travel, it goes, which there was a way to adjust the returnBut all and all, good product, professional packaging and good instructions.

High powered lift support!
I have a 03 350Z and these fit without a problem! My old ones were shot and would drop everytime, now when I open the trunk it shoots up and holds like a beast! Comes with all the necessary hardware to replace everything including the ball joints which are also very sturdy and durable! Definitely worth the price for such great quality, I would recommend this highly!

Questionable construction quality
I recently installed these for my 350z not too long ago and two days later the female end of the shock connecting to the ball joint broke. I followed all specific instructions provided and help up really good for when it was not broken.
