RUNmax 20LBS - 150LBS Adjustable Weighted Vest Wtih Shoulder Pads Option for Men and Women

Got the 40lb without shoulder pads. Actual shipping was 3 days earlier than quoted. Holy ish this is heavy. Know yourself and the right weight for you. Feels good once donned. Update after workouts. Update: I got third party shoulder pads that fit nicely. Been wearing daily for a couple weeks during work hours and workouts. It feels most heavy at first and at the end of the day. Trapezius muscle, where the weight rests on shoulders, and lower back get the most soreness after several hours. Traps also get some acne from constant pressure and there is cotton shirt wrinkle. It does also restrict chest expansion for breathing unless you keep it more loose, in which case it will bounce around a bit while running. It makes the shirt ride up the torso and need to pull it down frequently or use shirt-stays. The vest thickness(~3" in the front) prevents full range of motion during pushups, so I made pushup bars. Running is much harder, as are planks, pushups and pull-ups. Average workout heart rate with the vest on is a good 20-40bpm higher throughout. After running with this on for weeks, doing so without it feels like a turbo boost. I can run MUCH longer with low effort and it feels like a breeze. Push and pull-ups without it are more numerous and easier. Same for squats and lunges. Base metabolism and skeletal muscle are up, fat is down, strength improved. I recommend. But it's effing heavy to wear all day. You don't have to do that.

When you pick this thing up and feel the full weight you think, "there's no way Im going to be able to put this on". Then you carefully slide in to it and realize that the perfect weight distribution makes this pretty darn bearable. In fact, your legs are more likely to get tired than your back is! I needed this to train for a fitness test coming up. I love the ease of adjusting the weight to what I want, and the 5 pockets on both sides give you options for where you put the weights. Its comfortable and the lower chest band gives great support. I didnt get the ones with the shoulder pads, and while I do think they would make it more comfortable, you can easily add your own make shift padding that will do the same thing. This is a great exercise tool to really help you build muscle and strength. Its very good quality and seems like it will be durable over time.

This an excellent workout tool, good quality canvas. Well thought out. Stitching is very good. I bought the 40 lb version probably an overkill for me but they have smaller weight versions. Mine came with five pockets in the front and five in the back. It came with 10 sand bags each sand is 4 lb each for 10 bags for a total of forty pounds. This is very versatile as you can add or subtract weight depending on your workout. I use it for lunges, squats, pushups, step ups and long walks. How ever I must advise caution. When going on long hikes you should start with a low weight and add weight ass you’re body gets used to the extra weight. The extra weight can affect your joints (ankles, knees, pelvis) especially going down an incline plane. You’re skeletal structure will get use to the extra weight with time and recovery. The body is an amazing thing just ease into it especially if you’re older, have joint problems or being out of the game for a while. All in all this a great exercise tool at a reasonable price. Worth it!

The vest is made very well and is comfortable. I like that your able to remove or add weight as needed depending on your exercise. Want to train hard max it out with 50lbs for rucking. Want to go for a short run/walk take weight off to fit your desired need. Also the water bottle holder on the front is a nice touch. It’s not good at holding a bottle while running it works good for walking or hiking.

At 1st, I bought the 20lb vest, thinking it’d meet my goals for at least 3 months, & give me time to decide whether weighted vests were a fit for me. I very quickly maxed out the weight during my workouts, & exchanged the 20lb for the 40lb. I might eventually need the 60, but not for a few months. Also, get shoulder pads — either 3rd-party wide ones, or RUNmax pads. With shoulder pads, the weighted vest is pretty comfortable. It didn’t have any odor from the vest or weights, and hadn’t developed any. While the velcro hold well, it doesn’t cover the tip of the left side of the belt, so that sticks out. Just apply some adhesive velcro & you’re good. The vest is easy to use. I like the size; not too bulky or awkward. I think it’ll last, & recommend it for people looking to ramp up their resistance in a pain-free, low-impact manner.

This vest is amazing, although we haven’t had it for very long but it’s definitely well made. My husband bought it for himself but I keep stealing it and using it for my walks around the neighborhood the fit is adjustable so it’s perfect for both of us. It goes on very easy and you can choose the right weight that works best for you. Each bag weighs 4 lbs and there are 10 bags. I started with 4 (2 in the back and 2 in the front). I personally don’t think you need the extra shoulder pads. The color is black and that’s great. There is a little bit of a smell but that’s because it’s new. The only con I can think of is the “ phone holder “ isn’t very convenient, but that’s just my opinion.

I really like this thing and its always nice to use. It fits really well and holds tight to my body, which I've had trouble in the past with other vests doing. Its really nice to be able to remove or add weight super easy. plus its a pretty good price for the weight.

Buenisimo, llevo 1 mes usándolo y no podría estar más satisfecho. Uso el chaleco para ejercicios en casa (sentadillas, lagartijas, desplantes, desplantes, etc) y para ejercicios en parque públicos (tubo inclinado, barras, etc). Si dominas tu peso con facilidad y buscas más resistencia, éste chaleco es para ti. Lastima un poco los hombros al principio, después de usarlo varias veces te acostumbras, en lo personal nunca lo he usado para correr, pero me imagino que podría ser un poco molesto. De buen material, se puede quitar y poner peso con mucha facilidad, entra perfectamente mi celular, que no es pequeño (xiaomi mi a1)

Wrong weight, looks used The product itself is okay (kinda) but I ordered the 40 pound vest and got 20 pounds, on top of that the thing wrong with the actual item is that it looks pretty used and the packaging was done really poorly.

Acredito que o espaço para o reservatório para colocar uma garrafa com água podia ser melhor dimensionado e planejado para não ficar desconfortável (balançando e com risco de cair) ao correr. Achei muito raso e estreito para uma garrafa com capacidade de 700ml.

Ordered the Runmax after meeting a fellow in the gym using it, doing online research and after my chiropractor told me he had a weighted vest and actually recommended them. He knows I have had minor back issues in the past but was aware of my condition and felt it would be beneficial in making me stronger and more resilient. I was visiting my chiropractor because the old weighted knapsack I had been using caused lower back issues to flare up. I got the Runmax 40 pound version on Friday afternoon and have alread taken it out for two five kilometer walks. It was comfortable and easy to put on and I really felt like I got a workout. I called up my chiropractor during the walk, he asked he what model I bought and given the price and my recommendation he plans to get a second one for his cottage himself. I am not suggesting that this is right for all people with 'back issues" but it feels like the weight is well distributed and I love being able to just walk down our beautiful city nature trail and get a workout at the same time.
