I was happy to get these and find out they were already preassembled. All I had to do was attach the sticks. They are bright, colorful, and spins pretty well. I have yet to find out if they will keep the squirrels away from my garden. If so then I will buy more.

I purchased these to deter sparrows from eating up all the grass seed in a large area where I'm trying to grow grass. The pinwheels were spinning in the wind and glistening in the sun and, still, about 30 birds were on the ground eating up the grass seed. Didn't deter them at all. Complete waste of money.

Item is easy to assemble - 3 pieces, easy to connect them but did not serve its purpose. Purchased item to put on our mailbox post after applying fresh paint to the mailbox and brand new post. Attached the pinwheel to the post behind the mailbox. Could be very durable since it requires more than a slight breeze to get the pinwheel to move. Saw birds perched on top of the mailbox which was just about 5" from the post. It seems the 'sparkle-ness' of the pinwheel is too much for the birds to avoid in my neighborhood. Bird droppings all over the mailbox :( Cannot recommend if you're purchasing for similar need.

Looks nice spinning in wind. Already put together. Does not stop birds crapping everywhere or squirrels (tree rats) from digging up the lawn. Does not deter geese (honking crapping flying rats).
