Great Mac USB-C Accessory
This is a great device. I haven’t had any charging problems through my mac while using it. You will find there is a case for using this snd when not to use it. Magnetic being the thing it does come unplugged from time to time if you don’t have proper cable management.

Does not work with video data. Damaged Apple Studio display.
Used these to connect to Apple Studio display from iMac Pro with Apple's included thunderbolt cables and it would not work. This resulted in display not working for a period of time after removing connectors and using only the original Apple cables. Apple software support could not fix display. Apple suggested display was damaged.

Love it, works well!
I bought this to help preserve a port that was becoming lose. Works very well, I just wish I could find it now! 😄 I think one of my kids stole it again. 😒

USB-C port no longer works
Bought this on January 20, 2023.Had been working great! Did exactly what I needed it to do after a direct connection caused damage to a power cord and cosmetic damage to MacBook Air when fall was caused.However, last night stopped working.Even plugged charger directly into the port, but still did not work. Luckily the second port works still.I know I cannot blame the adapter on the failure of the port, BUT...I won't use it again on my remaining USB-C port.

Disappointed
I've now tried several magsafe alternatives for my 2021 Macbook, and all but one (which is so big it makes a second port useless) are too weak to be useful. The magnets on this are just not enough to keep it connected, even from very minor bumps when sitting on a desk, let alone in your lap or anywhere else. I just can't recommend this one and was so disappointed.

Weak magnet.
Easily breaks connection, which is annoying because it often happens when you move your tablet or phone to change from portrait to landscape, for example.Perhaps it would be acceptable if this adapter device had a built-in swivel. Not recommended.

Not worth it
Received it yesterday and today the metal surrounding the pins fell off. It's worthless. If I could give it a zero, I would.
