NVIDIA GeForce RTX NVLink Bridge 4-Slot for 3090 and 30 Series Graphics Cards

Absurdly expensive piece of plastic, but it becomes to be unique. It is made only for RTX3090, and that video card is the last one out of Nvidia consumer line of products, which supports NVLink. Nvidia silently dropped NVLink support to stop internal competition with their commercial products (I assume) - 3090Ti, 4090 and 5090 don’t support NVLink, their total memory is limited to 32Gb max - whatever is available on the card. 30 series graphic cards do not support NVLink by the way, ONLY 3090 does. NVLink setup gives me 48Gb VRAM6x, not VRAM7, but still good enough to perform large LLM training, neither 3090Ti, 4090 nor 5090 can do it. One needs to jump up into RTX6000 category to do it, and that is $15k+ now. The major part is - although PC architecture for AM5 drops the PCI-e 5.0x16 speed to 4.0x8 (4.0 because of the older 3090 cards, and x8 because PCI-e shares 16 available lines between two cards), which drops one PCI-e card speed to 16Gbps, NVLink works at 112Gbps (theoretical limit, measured at 101Gbps), sharing memory and communications between cards, which covers almost all data tasks except of some commands coming from CPU through PCI-e at up to 16GBps. That is possible only because of this tiny piece of plastic (was unable to find similar EVGA one anywhere, for any price) and old almost retired 3090 video cards. But Nvidia one works the same way. Max PCI-e 5x16 speed is 64Gbps (theoretical limit), that is it for the modern 5090 cards. I prefer old NVLink at 112 Gbps and 48Gb of VRAM6x until going into commercial area.

What is better than one 3090? Two! What is better than two 3090s? 4090! But we aren't there yet, so this bridge is the best I can do for now. This little piece combining the power of two 3090s running on a ThreadRipper makes rendering a breeze! Highly recommend picking one up if you plan on getting multiple 3090s as they are going on sale now.

I made sure that this fit my 3090Ti’s before posting this. The seller packaged it well and it came in a really cool box. Also it was labeled correctly in the listing. Pros: Correct 30 series Nvlink bridge for Sli! Works well, No overheating that I’ve noticed. (I’ve read on some message boards that the bridge tended to get hot under load). Cons: I really don’t think that it should cost as much as it does, but then again it is a legacy device now that Nvidia has killed SLI. Glad i could get my hands on one before it is impossible to find. Minus 1 star for cost.

They need to make one for 3 spaces for non Intel boards or normal boards. My TUF 3090s can’t use them because of the PCIe spacing

Top product, but I have to plug all the monitor/s into the second GPU to get the SLI option in the Nvidia control panel.

More speeds in parallelizable applications that utilize peer access.

Make sure that the motherboard is compatible with GPU's Nvlinks, I had only 3 active links and it didn't function properly so I had to return it.
