The Uniden DC1 is first Camera that I have owned that is easy to set up. Have owned many other brands and they have one common issue they at any time will lock up and go stupid when you think your little protector is working its had a small stroke!! This Camera with 32G card installed gives around 4 hours of vids. Have many DC1s and none have ever locked up or went nuts. Their set for Loop recording and their left on 24/7. Nice feature is they default to record with power applied. You cycle power its internal battery does a orderly power down, then it powers back up and starts recording. So finally a Cheap Camera that works. Uniden needs to make a 256G version, add GPS add mini HDMI connector for an external recorder.

Piece of junk. First one died a month after having it, replacement just died as well. Screen/Device locks up and does not function at all. Update. I am now on my 4th unit, Uniden has sent a different model this time, this model constantly says 'no sd card'. Unreliable. Went to pull video from it today and there are no files and it wants me to format the sd card. I should note I also have a uniden home security camera system that constantly locks up as well. Had to replace it with a different companies product. DONT BUY UNIDEN....

Great performance at a reasonable price. Cheap insurance to cover yourself for that irresponsible driver. This one went in my rear window to complement the one on my dash. More goes on behind you that you wouldn't believe and can't control. It is great to have it recorded.

Love the camera and how easy it is to install and use. This is actually my second purchase of this product. I had to buy a second product because the power cord cracked and the wires frayed and eventually failed. The cord works fine if you just leave it always plugged in. I was unplugging it a lot, wrapping it up, and sticking it in the glove box when not in use. This caused the power cable to crack after a few weeks. The cord is OK if you just leave it plugged in all the time.

No surprise, but you get what you pay for. I bough this dash cam and installed it on my windshield. Right away I noticed screen quality was garbage and constantly flickered like it’s from 2005. It successfully recorded for about two weeks. When I went to check the footage, despite me setting it to record in 3 minute loops, not a single video file was longer than 15 seconds. The recording cuts out all the time. formatting the flash card and reinserting it in the device, it now no longer records at all and just sits on my windshield as decoration. This surprised me because Uniden does make some high quality products, but only when you pay top dollar for it. If you’re going to get a dash cam, don’t cheap out. Get something high quality that works, you’ll thank yourself later

I have multiple cameras like these in my semi truck to cover every angle. This camera has very good resolution for the low price and easy to use software.

I bought 1 of these in August from Best Buy, due to back surgery I was unable to use it until a month later, it worked great for 3 days! The 30 day return expired so I had to send it off to uniden for repair. I bought another one from amazon, it lasted 1 day! Freeze up and no buttons work!

Set it up...plug it up...forget you have it till something happens. I have these in every car. Not broken and no problems but read direction closely and set accordingly.

easy to hook up and setup

I bought this for my husband for christmas- he just went to install it in his vehicle and yhere is no mount or usb cable in the box. The box was sealed and wrapped- pretty disappointed- he can’t even use it now.

Easy to use

We bought this 2 months ago and all of a sudden screen shows only sand storm. Very frustrating. We had similar one which worked for 2 years with occasional unwanted hiccups. No recommendation here.
